Do you wonder about the men who do jobs that nobody wants to do and nobody notices?

I was one, and I certainly have known many of them over the years. Men who do concrete work, construction, run heavy equipment, and work in the oil fields etc. I think it's actually much more fulfilling or purpose filled work compared to all the men sitting in cubicles.
Yes, I've been a part of one of those jobs in my early 20 for a short period of time, all I can say is so many rough men go through hell to keep the world running yet they get very little in return

I always wonder if they would get skin cancer later in life when older because they spend so much time outside in the strong sun without any protection, make me wonder why they don't work in more appropriate hours outside the it's less dangerous.
And actually everyone notice them, they're everywhere on the side of the road (at least in France we see them nearly everyday working on road and such).
They got a bad reputation though don't know why people label them as lazy, they always say "1 who work and 5 that watch him".
People that say that ironically are usually people who spend their life inside their office sitting next to the coffee machine or seller who keep talking to their coworker...
Great comment! They probably would get skin cancer if other things didn't kill them first. I have to say though, you're lucky to have them really. I remember I used to spend a lot of time in California and I would marvel that you would never see men like that in California. I spent years there and realized all the men like that were long gone.
@Goahead76 Thanks :)
How do they do without them though? Because in France they're always working on the road or house, without them we wouldn't be working very long.
I saw some guys working on the road in California though in a French documentary, they worked to make the road in another color so it would decrease the temperature.

In France they also encourage women to do those jobs, everyone because we need them.
They just don't fix anything unless it's an absolute emergency. Not surprising though, very typical for California to be working on some utopian idea while neglecting 99% of the important things. The roads are crumbling, homeless people and garbage everywhere, 100 year old electrical grid etcetera.
Guys that work in the oil fields or are welders or lumberjacks make good money and these jobs are in demand. Working in retail or in the fast food industry are the crappy jobs that nobody wants to do.
Yes, I respect them more than any celebrity
ANYTHING A MAN CAN DO
A WOMAN CAN DO 10x BETTER
if society did acknowledge them, the "patriarchy" would be debunked already
Yes, my grandfather was a plumber, I thank god every day I am not also one.
