Same place I manage and operate now at 41, I began working at 15 bussing tables, 16 I was a hostess, at 18 I was a server, at 21 I was server/bartender, at 26 I was server/bartender/part time manager, then in the fall of 2018 the owners retired and I became the operating manager. I'm pretty sure soon I am going to get a very fair offer to purchase this place as the owners health is declining and they have been more like grand parents to me than just an employee and have said many times they want me to carry on here.

My first real job outside of short term work through my parents engineering organizations and independently found by me, was as a sushi maker at Mandarin Buffet. I call it my first real job cause it was the first job I had where I worked 8 hour shifts, because when I previously did Art Creation Jobs or AutoCAD Drafting jobs, they were part time and required only a few hours of commitment each day.

Besides mowing lawns and shoveling snow when I was a kid, my first full time job was when I was 17. I worked at a place that made trophies. I made deliveries and ran errands. I swept up the place and kept the display cases clean. One time a pissy wino puked in the freight elevator and I had to clean it up.
