Physical fitness and good health yes but for instance if every woman should meet the Physical requirements of men then no.
For instance women make up 18% of the regular US military and 25% of the reserves and national guard. Currently there are 500,000 women in the US military out and overall 2 million. With dwindling recruitment those are numbers the US military can't afford to lose.
Forget special forces, women aren't able to meet the Physical requirements for frontline infantry. My sister served in Afghanistan and my aunt in Iraq, my aunt saw some combat as supply driver but they would tell you that a standard Frontline infantryman is required to carry 200-300llb of gear walking/ running huge distances sometimes for weeks at at time. My sister fell over on a patrol around the base in Afghanistan and fell down and couldn't get up because of the weight she was carrying.
About 10% of the us military is frontline infantry. The rest is logistics, medical, artillery, catering, signal & intelligence, mechanics, engineering, aviation etc
Isn't women screaming and protesting for equality in America?
You cannot take the word equality and change the definition depending on the circumstances.
Either the women can do exactly what is asked of the men to accomplish or they can pick up their toys and go home!!
no... war has changed a whole lot since the World Wars
physical fitness should be a basic level (still to a military level)
in fact, most of the soldiers of today are nothing much but gate guards for mercenaries and contract dealers...
Yes, in battle if you are not in good physical condition you could get yourself of your fellow soldier killed.

standards should as high as possible without apology
women who sign up for combat roles should do so knowing they could get potentially raped if they become prisoners of war which triggers men's protective instincts and can jeopardize a mission
Naw, military pt tests are stupid as shit.
They should vary based on your job in the Military
I don't mean different standards. I mean I don't think planking, or hand release push ups really pertain to tankers or cav scouts.
Of course, yes.
I'm all for women in the military, but everyone should be required to pass the same basic requirements. If my life depends on somebody being able to lift 100 lbs, then I don't want to die just because someone had a lighter physical requirement to pass.
if she can do it then a male of equal or lesser value should be able to too.
@Lliam yes it should be same training
