Why do people ask physically fit people if they've ever been in the military?

Anonymous
Being a physically fit Black man, it's extremely offensive being asked if I've ever been in the military. This implies that black people who are born and or live in western countries will be better off than black people in Africa. This is why I'm smart enough to not identify as an American. It's hypocritical to act like the entire military is physically fit when you don't have to pass a single physical fitness test to graduate from basic training. Stop trying to exploit strong black men to make your country look good. I wouldn't be offended if I was asked if I've ever been in an Afrikan military though.
