I was nearly sure I should be eligible... I wanted to return to college to try secondary school teaching (would take six more years of my life and I'm 25) I'm working and my job isn't bad but it closes for the holidays which can be stressful. To be honest, I wasn't even feeling very motivated to go back to college at all. And now I've been refused a grant there's no way I can afford this.

First, review the grant's eligibility criteria and appeal if possible. Consider part-time courses or online programs as cost-effective alternatives. Look into scholarships, financial aid, or employer assistance programs within your current job. Balancing work and education might be challenging but it can reduce financial strain. If you’re not fully committed to returning to college, explore career advancement possibilities in your current job, or look for roles that offer stability during holidays. Reflect on your motivation and career goals before making a decision.
