Social worker. I love kids so much and my heart wouldn’t be able to handle the emotions of seeing neglected children.

A friend of mine is a social worker and she doesn’t discuss specifics, but I know she has spent countless hours driving around with kids in her car trying to get them into foster care. She has even spent time taking neglected children to the hospital. I have a lot of respect for her.

  • One job I deeply respect but could never do myself is that of a first responder, such as an EMT or firefighter. Their ability to remain calm in life-threatening situations, make quick decisions, and provide essential care to individuals in distress is truly admirable. These professionals face immense physical and emotional challenges while working under significant pressure, and their unwavering commitment to saving lives and serving the community is inspiring. While my skills are more aligned with education and career development, I hold great admiration for those on the front lines, dedicating themselves to the safety and well-being of others.

All emergency services except for police. Fire fighters and EMT’s especially. So much respect for them and what they do, what they have to experience to help us. I could never face that kind of trauma on a regular basis. I can’t handle gore, especially not the kind that comes from pulling decapitated bodies out of severe car accidents.

I'll probably be attacked but a politician. I always think their intentions are noble and their hearts are in the right place and I can respect that a great deal. However, I could never do it, because of the mudslinging I'd have to deal with! I'm very sensitive and would probably constantly cry lol I also couldn't imagine someone I care about being in politics and hearing people constantly trashing them. I honestly think it takes a different breed.

Police officer, fireman, for safety reasons. I admire both. One thing I could never do is work in an office as well--for the sheet boredom.

School teacher. I would not long tolerate the disrespect that spoiled children direct at them.

If it's not under pressure it's mostly safe. I use the torch on black pipe to make sure it's a good seal on the threads. If it spits, you done fucked up!

I'm cool with electric too and tbh it's more fun to play with

120 and 240 volts is only a little tingle, unless it holds you. Then it hurts bad

I have felt it cleaning a hanging staircase light which learned was not grounded. Luckily I was leaning against a steel banister at the time. I def felt that tingle.

You felt the tingling because you were leaning against the steel banister. The current traveled through your whole body. You shouldn't touch any metal while you're working on electric

@Wiredone Ah. Fiberglass ladders. Thats why they make those suckers. (I did find out after it was not grounded though. Tis now)

When working on electric, fiberglass and rubber are your best friends. Glad you got it grounded.

I don't believe in that, especially now, since I have a family to take care of. I would do what I had to within legal and moral boundaries.
