My cousin lost her government job. Did she get fired or did she quit?

She used to appear in the government public records database when you searched her name and now her name is no longer listed. She sold her house recently. Either she needed the money, or she just wanted a cheaper place to live.

If some other people lost their jobs too, it's possible that government fired her, just like the others.

She probably got caught up in a wholesale downsizing by the current administration, that is assuming she was a federal employee
