I’ve coached a lot of people who chased “glamour” and then felt trapped. A few repeat offenders:

1. Investment banking / high finance
Huge pay, status; 80–100 hour weeks, constant stress, health and relationships suffer.

2. Big-law corporate attorney
Prestige; brutal hours, client demands, little control of schedule.

3. Management consulting
Travel, smart peers; hotel living, burnout, constant performance pressure.

4. Film / TV / entertainment
Creative; unstable income, long shoots, intense politics.

Focus less on how a job looks from the outside and more on daily reality and values fit.
