Is it appropriate for a teacher to yell at an autistic child for nose picking?

Look don’t get me wrong I understand it’s disgusting gross and they should not be doing that, but yelling at them I don’t agree with. So many times when one of the students picked his nose and ate it which is disgusting, she would yell every time, “Stop that! You would eat boogers but you won't EAT AN ICE CREAM CONE/COOKIES? That is disgusting!!”

I mean I understand how she feels and she has so many pet peeves that that is one of them. I don’t like when she yelled at him or other students but at the same time, they should not be doing that. I would tell him, “Fingers down. That’s nasty but I don’t yell at him but I’m firm.”
I wish I could say to her that I don’t like when she yells but at the same time I don’t wanna take sides.
She does that to other students but not often. One time she yelled, “YOU WOULD EAT DISGUSTING THINGS BUT YOU won't EAT A BROWNING? ARE YOU KIDDING ME? THAT IS GROSS!!!” With a disgusting look. The kid didn’t care, but he looked upset. She is usually patient and loving on the students is firm, but I thought it was too far. She can't stand that about him even though she does care.
Why do people have to yell at autistic children? I’m autistic myself and I’ve been yelled at by teachers. I told her that’s a big rude but she said, “Well that’s a BUMMER FOR HIM! He shouldn’t be doing that in the first place! Maybe that will get him to stop! You can’t baby autistic kids!”
