Yes. It's either "Day One" or "one day". You need to make a choice. I'm sure there's a lot one might not have and there's a lot they might be up against, and maybe have a lot in their past working against them in some ways (how they were formed), but they have to work with what they have and build from there.

Agreed, but some people are just lazy or will find any lame excuse to not put in the work. You can see examples of that every day on here.
I mostly agree, but with an important nuance.
In my 20+ years coaching people, those who improve their lives *do* eventually put in consistent work. But many start in a place of fear, burnout, trauma, or lack of knowledge. They may complain or feel stuck—yet still deeply want change.
Two key points I’ve seen:
1. Desire isn’t always matched by skills, energy, or support.
2. Environment (poverty, mental health, family pressure) can seriously limit options.
So: real change requires effort, but compassion and practical support often come before sustained hard work is possible.
