My job interview is on Tuesday, and I have to take a taxi there and walk 20min back. Then I have to spend on bus to go town because I need my bloods taken.
I have been off work for 4 years, and I need a job but its hard. I am 29.

My practical advice would be that this is big a commitment for sure. For being out of work so long this is not small expenditure of time, money and energy I'd weigh the pros and cons in a written format.
My emotional advice is that discomfort is a beacon, growth should feel uncomfortable and attending an interview if you can afford it is always worthwhile from a growth standpoint even if it doesn't pan out the way you want it to.
Yes, definitely. A good walk before any kind of presentation is an excellent way to help clear your mind and sharpen your mental edge. I did a lot of walking on my way to my sales appointments when I lived in the city, and I sold a lot of them.

If the role is genuinely one you could see yourself doing and commuting to, I’d go to the interview.
A few points I’ve learned coaching people in your situation:
- After 4 years out, getting *any* recent interview experience is valuable.
- The small travel cost now can open the door to regular income.
- Employers don’t usually cover interview costs at this stage, so this is normal.
- Plan the day so interview and blood test fit smoothly, and rest afterwards.
If the job is unsuitable (hours, pay, location), reassess. Otherwise, treat this as an investment in restarting your career.

Well if you do not go to the interview you are guaranteed to stay unemployed a little longer. Go for it. What kind of job is it? by the way your profile says you are 22!

The very act of putting yourself in a vulnerable position is a strong move. Getting it done whether you take it or not will be empowerment fir your next chapter.
Like my wife you have to do what you need to do to get what you want and if it’s for a job at the beginning it’s going to be rough but you have to look at it that in time it will be easier on you
you can deduct the travel expense on your income tax.
Yes, you should still go
If it's a good job it's worth it
