If you are a true nerd or just a nerd at heart, you don't need to confine your love of all things nerdy to just your computer screen or a few posters. Why not expand your nerdiness to the rest of you or your castle with a few nerdy DIY projects.
1. Gameboy Fridge
Turn your fridge or washing machine into an old school Gameboy with these easy to throw up magnets which you can find on Amazon. Bonus, you can write on the dry erase screen.

2. Batman (or any super hero) coffee table
Just a little paint, and a handmade stencil or blow one up to size online, and you can redecorate an old coffee table to pay homage to your own bat cave
3. You can be the mother of your dragons
Take a styrofoam ball found at any craft store and shave it down to an egg shape or find an egg shape, and take regular silver thumbtacks and start pinning them all the way round until you've covered the whole egg. If you want a different color, hit it with some spray paint or acrylic paint. Just make sure you give it time to dry.
4. Never Let Go
Your old game systems may be a thing of the past, but you can forever and always pay homage to those that have come before by artfully retiring your game controllers in shadow box form. You may want to consider even "bronzing them" or "setting them in gold," with some bronze or gold spray paint.
5. 8 Bit Fire Place
Have an old fireplace just sitting there unused? Why not keep it permanently, and most importantly, safely lit with this 8 bit fireplace. All you need is glue, black poster board cut to size to fit your fireplace, a square hole punch to punch out the squares (which you can find at a craft store), and a bunch of those free paint samples you can find at any paint or hardware store in fire colors. Then go to town. Bonus, if you put logs in front of it, it looks even more amazing. This, um, goes without saying, but if you do actually intend to later use your real fire place, take this out first before lighting up the real logs or turning on the gas, k!
6. Lego Container
If you are a fan of Sam's Club sized warehouse treats that come in large tubs, this is the perfect way to recycle those used containers into something fun and useful. When you're done snacking, simply paint the container yellow and when that dries, paint in the eyes and mouth. Boom, you've got a much more interesting storage container, than just boring old clear plastic.
7. Save Your Work
Oh man, if you are old enough to remember having to save your work on floppy discs, and better yet, if you still have some old ones lying around somewhere gathering dust, pull them out of storage and re-purpose them as a "storage" container. Clear packing tape will do to cobble this one together and then store whatever you want inside.
8. Piranha Plant Pencil Holder

9. How many times have you just wanted to play ping pong...
...and you didn't have a net? First world problems solved! Now you can spend some time constructing one that can be set up on the kitchen table or elsewhere for a more creative spin on your ping pong tournament
10. Jewelry fit for a nerd
Take apart all your own electronics and mine them for pieces. You can either hot glue them to old jewelry, or cheap dollar store jewelry, or find some bases from any craft store. Also works for necklaces and earrings.
11. Superhero shoes
Your favorite comic books + A pair of shoes--->Cut comics out----> Glue them down with Mod Podge--->Let Dry
