Reading is a thing that should be instilled and planted in a childs mind at an early age. In Elementary School I read these books with my class and I enjoyed these very much. Here are some of my personal favorites
Junie B Jones Series by:Barbara Park
This book series for younger readers follows Junie B Jones on her journey through Kindergarten and 1st Grade.
Charlotte's Web by:E.B White
This book is so filled with vocabulary words to learn. This is a good book about friendship and sadly death.
Stuart Little by: E.B. White
This was another awesome book and movie.
Charlie and The Chocolate Factory by:Roald Dahl
My number one most favorite book of all time! I always loved reading this over and over.
Matilda by: Roald Dahl
Another one of my favorites! Roald Dahl is probably my favorite author next to Stephen King.
Where The Red Fern Grows by:Wilson Rawls
A book set in the Great Depression times in the Ozarks of Arkansas. A story about working hard to get something you always wanted, and companionship of pets.
Ramona and Beezus series by:Beverly Clearly
These were all awesome books about a mischeivious trouble maker and her teen sister.
These were just some of my favorites. What were some of yours?
Great! Ill give you more suggestions! Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing by Judy Blume The Bailey School Kids (Elementary School mystery series) The Baby Sitters Club series The BFG by Roald Dahl
She's eight but her teachers call her "gifted" and in a good way. Last year for Christmas, I wanted to give her the Harry Potter books but I was afraid it would be too hard for her. Instead I gave her the Tales of Beedle the Bard by JK Rowling and she said she found it easy to read. Maybe I can give her the Harry Potter books for Christmas this year.
i'm familiar with most of these, either from school or just casual reading, though beverly cleary's ramona books were my favourites by far~ those things epitomized my childhood. :)
