The Stranglers Non-Album Singles And B-Sides Part II (1979)

1) Bear Cage single (1979) 4/5

The video of the song is very prophetic. At the end you can see the other three members telling Hugh to leave. Something that happened in 1990, but the difference is that Hugh left on his own will.

2) Fools Rush Out B-Side from the single Duchess (1979) 3/5

Eh...nothing special!

3) Yellowcake UF6 B-Side from the single Nuclear Device (1979) 3.5/5

This is a strange one. It's the reversed version of their unreleased song Social Secs. I don't know why the proper version was never released.

4) N'Emmenes Pas Harry French Single (1979) 4.5/5

The French version of the song Don't Bring Harry. Sounds better sung in French.

5) Wired from Don't Bring Harry EP (1979) 3.5/5

I couldn't find a studio version, sorry. Anyway this is from Hugh Cornwell's album Nosferatu. It's a mediocre album, but this is my favorite song from there.

6) Crabs (Live) from Don't Bring Harry EP (1979) 2.5/5

And this is from JJ Burnel's solo album Euroman Cometh. It's longer than the Studio version, but more acoustic instead. It doesn't have the quirkiness of the Studio version.

7) In The Shadows (Live) from Don't Bring Harry EP (1979) 3/5

Overall 3/5

Good songs, but they cannot be compared with their album The Raven, which was released the same year.
