Why I admire Kpop Idols

Today I saw this video and it reminded of one of the reasons why I like Kpop. Monsta X is performing so well and French Montana sounds like a alcoholic mumbling something. He's not on the beat, he puts no effort into his lyrics I don't know why he's even doing this besides money. He doesn't seem like he really wants to be there. I never understood how he managed to get paid for rapping when he's so bad at it. They actually had to do this song twice because he couldn't even do his whole verse the first time.

Commitment to exellence

Kpop Idols on the other hand are always on point. This doesn't just apply to one group this is a standard in the industry. Of course there are differences in levels but nobody is just coasting in this business. They need to train for years while going to school the whole day and then practising dancing singing rapping and a bit of acting for hours after school. Other kids get extra classes after school to give them an edge against the competition but trainees need to train, can barely sleep and still need to keep up their grades enough not to fail.

If you get selected and get to be in a group it doesn't get easier. Often they have 5,6,7,8 performances a day with sometimes hours of driving in between almost no pay or recognition and not a great shot of actually making it. If you're in a big company you have a better chance of making it but of course the competition during the training phase will be a lot more fierce.

I admire how much they give to achieve their dreams and how high their level of performance is. Just like I admire great athletes who dedicate their life to being the best and work on the smallest of details because it could be the one thing that makes the difference when it really matters.

And the best of the best are NCT. Their level of dancing blows my mind.

I'm tough on myself and I want to reach for exellence in my own life as well. So far I haven't managed to get their yet but I haven't given up. When I watch things like this though it really shows what humans are capable of if we try our hardest and makes me try my hardest every day. Even if you don't like the music I still think there's something we can all learn from this kind of dedication and pursuit of perfection.

Have a nice day, Peace
