Buffy the Vampire Slayer: The Movie

This is not the tv show as seen by the difference in buffy's at the top. Kristy Swanson and sarah michelle gellar are two different actresses.

I wanted to share this basically because I have a love for the movie. I watched it with my brother as a kid. It was sweet simple and funny. In the movie, buffy takes on more of a clueless movie cher character and displays this pretty well as a cheerleader

the different idea here is that she starts as much less tough and more like a bubbly teenage girl that lives in her world of fashion and gossip and is now put into a world of vampires where she is the killer. It makes it much more funny rather than serious because she is trying to adjust from being a pretty cheerleader rather than just a teenage book worm with her head in a book.

As you can see, she is more fashion focused. Like Cher in Clueless trying to be a vampire hunter. It makes it more of a silly plot. But I will say that it is more of a satire than a serious show which could be a turn off for many but for me, I love silly cheesy b-movie cult films so this is just a fun movie for me. I also had a crush on kristy swanson in this movie, I thought she was hot. But leading into more plot than description of her character

Buffy meets her trainer which happens to be snow from the hunger games and he leads her into being trained into a vampire slayer. In the movie she progresses from being clueless to being a comfortable badas# slayer.

It is totally a B movie for sure and more than likely nearly every person is going to respond, "I liked the tv show better" mic drop

but what the heck i posted this mytake anyway :)

I first watched TV series when I was extremely young. And I remember actually wanted to watch it every chance I get. And then when I found out about the movie when it was airing, I finally decided to give it a shot never thinking that it was actually very different from the TV show. Personally I would say it's actually okay especially from the time that it came out. But other than that I actually enjoyed how it was set up because they had a good set of characters, it showed how Buffy had a somewhat humble beginning, even though she wasn't perfect. But they made up for it in the end. So I safe with anybody who is unfamiliar with the movie should definitely give this a chance but don't expect too much between much difference of the movie and the TV show

I definitely enjoyed the movie, but their really not to separate entities the show takes place after the movie
The events of the movie are referenced a lot in the beginning seasons of the show, and neither Buffy has their head in a book not even when she was in college just saying lol.

Kirsty Swason had a nice ass if you ever saw her in The Phantom. Sarah Michelle Gellar at one time was probably the hottest chick in the world in my opinion espicially in the early series where she wasn't super skinny and had that puppy fat going on around her tirs and ass. Joss Whendon has a thing for very short skinny extremely pretty girls and it shows in a lot of his castings in his various series.

What always surprised Mr about the Buffy shows and in fact most vampire shows is that you have this 15 year old girl who basically gets stalked and groomed by a vampire who's 200 years old but looks in his mid 30s, handsome, muscular, tortured, soul, bad boy, then at some stage they turn evil and abusive. I'm talking twilight, vampire diaries and I'm sure there are others.

My fiancee when I was 19 looked so much like Kristy Swanson that she could have been her stunt double. Every time I see those pics, they remind me of her.

It's a damn shame we couldn't work it out, as I thought she was a goddess in beauty, but she was also a bitchy jealous nag that crippled the relationship :(

I would. It's simply different and i would recommend viewing it as different from the t. v. show and it's ok to enjoy both :)
