Listen to the music or I'll scratch your eyes out

I grew up mainly listening to the music my older brother did, he controlled the radio in our room. He listened to the rock of the 50's like Elvis, Chuck Berry & Buddy Holly and others popular while he was in HS. After he left for college, I continued listening to that as well as the Top 40 hits of the 60's & 70's like the Beatles, Stones and other British Invasion groups as well as US music like the Beach Boys, Ja & Dean, etc. In the late70's I started working for a country music station as an announcer and with that was able to go backstage and meet many of the performers like Eddie Rabbit, Mickey Gilley, Alabama, Janie Fricke, Waylon, Willie and some of the boys and many more. I was also able to work set up for a number of rock concerts while in college.

Anyway, what I am getting to is that I have liked most kinds of music like these, some jazz, folk and music from other countries even though I do not understand the language, it's the music that counts. Recently on YouTube I found a couple of orchestras that I have really been enjoying, not just for the music, but seeing the large crowds joining in with the singing, smiling and even dancing in the open spaces between rows of seats and the stage. Also, the orchestras include not just music, but elaborate stage settings, lighting and one even has a large group of people waltzing, not only dance but ice skating as well. They have some "comedy" thrown in, but the main thing is that you can see that the musicians really enjoy what they are doing by their smiles and actions on stage. They really enjoy what they are doing. OK, now the two orchestras are "Maestro and the European Pop Orchestra" and "Andre Rieu and the Johann Strauss Orchestra." Now you may not enjoy classical music, but give these two a listen, not just a number or 2 but at least an hour each. I find them relaxing, I can go to sleep easier listening to them, and good to listen to while I am on the computer. As I said, they are

on YouTube, look them up and then please let me know what you think by messenger, good or bad. Take care & smile, enjoy the music, no matter what format.
