Dance, Dance, Dancing on a Date

I think dancing on a date would be romantic, energetic, sexy and fun. This could consist of scheduling a date at a dance class or attending a local ball, clubbing downtown, going to the arcade to hop on the dance machine, or simply staying home and dancing on the kinect/wii.

IF YOU WERE DOWN TO GO DANCING ON A DATE, WHAT WOULD BE YOUR STYLE?

I love to dance but I’d be a bit shy to dance around others. I’m used to dancing around family. Usually my mom, grandma, and cousins, cheer me on with their “Get it girl. Get it. Get it girl!” 🤣💃 But like, when dancing around friends, they’re more critical than supportive and always try to outdo me. Those mfs really got on my nerves lol. They’d be like “Nah you ain't doing it right, watch this”

I wanna dance with somebody! And so far, I’ve only danced with one. One day the now-ex and I were being random af. We were in the kitchen and my song came on, so I started going at it, honestly forgetting he was even there. But it was funny how he joined in and man, we were so in sync. My sis walked up and just stared at us and was like “The way y'all dance looks really raunchy” lmao. 😂

It would be a dream date come true to whip out the old kinect and 360 and just break out dancing together. I’d like to battle in Dance Central 2 or the Black Eyed Peas Experience. Even if we suck, I just wanna have fun on a Friday night. Plus we’re getting in a good workout lol.

I’ve legit never slow-danced in my life so I used to cheese so hard when watching all the Cinderella movies and remakes. I would love to attend a masquerade ball. But i fear when dancing that I’d likely step on his feet. Crazy thing is, I had the opportunity to go to prom and slow dance but too many dudes asked in so little time and I couldn’t decide who I wanted to go with. Plus many had the intention of getting laid and that turned me off enough to not want to attend at all.

I’d love to go to a Zumba class as a couple and workout while dancing. It just seems next level energetic and fun. I’ve only ever done Zumba in High school when our PE Coach played it on the big screen and had us dancing to it. It was a class of just girls so he looked weirded out at how wild we got lmao. Thankfully that man didn't have an ounce of pedo in him 🤣

I would absolutely love to learn to jive or swing dance. I’ve always enjoyed that type of music. I’ll never forget movie scenes that played the music during dance parties like Casper Meets Wendy, Seventeen Again, Grease, etc. Just dont drop me bro lol.

Now if I really want to be seductive (and had my old shape back), I’d sit the guy down and hypnotize him with a lap dance or belly dance. I haven't done crap like that in a minute. But I can easily get all Aliya Janell, Ciara, Shakira, and Beyonce when I’m looking to seduce.

This one is more kickin it old school, but I’d love to go to like a 70s party and Disco Dance with the guy. I wanna get my Roll Bounce on. It Just looks too fun.

Believe it or not, I have never seen the film Dirty Dancing. But i’ve always enjoy Patrick Swayze’s other films (RIP). 🙏 So now I’ve started watching the new show The Real Dirty Dancing where a few celebs are trying to become the next main characters. Half these mfs can't dance lol (I love you Brie Bella but nawl) but luckily they have a little help from guys like Corbin Bleu to teach them. After seeing the dance moves they’re doing, lmao I’m like nah I would not be comfortable dancing like that in front of a bunch of others. I might do some other thangs in public but I can't get with that haha.

I took up ballet and tap from ages 3-8. But I quit when they added crazy backflips, front flips and extreme cartwheelz to our routine. Although my instructor adored me, she expected me to pull through the most and I just wasn't about it. Plus i recall Julia Stiles jackin up her toe in Save the Last Dance and I lost interest all together haha.

So yea I grew up watching a lot of Dancing with the Stars and I also enjoyed World of Dance. They had a lot of samba, cha cha cha, salsa, quickstep, contemporary, paso doble, foxtrot, and rumba but the main ones that appealed to me were Freestyle, Waltz/Viennese Waltz, Bollywood Dance Style, and Tango/Argentine Tango.

This couple below was killin it! But I know my strengths and weaknesses and had I tried this crap, I’d be dead already lol. So I’ll just leave that to them.

My fave styles will forever be any kind of hip hop dancing and dancehall. Now I can't breakdance by any means but I find it so hot to see a guy do so. Some of the other stuff I can get with haha.

So yea, would you enjoy dancing on a date or is that not up your alley? And if so, what styles of dance would you guys do?

Omg yes. I have done Latin for almost 7 years, covid put a stop to it for a while but I am going back soon. It's been hard and I'm yet to date a guy that isn't scared silly at the thought of it. I would looooove to met a guy who enjoys it even just a little bit rather than be worried about how they look or what there buddies are going to think. It's sexy (if you want it to be) and it's fun and it's just awsome. My favourite samba, cha cha cha, my no.1 fav is *rumba* oh well one day♥️♥️

Okay great! The only difference is, Damce Central has better graphics. Black Eyed Peas Experience and Michael jackson Experience are for those into their music. But all those games gave me a good workout. The only thing i like wbout Just Dance is how you can choreograph your own. But Black Eyed Peas lets you do that too. Its so freakin fun. I just haven't played in years

Just Dance 3 is the only Just Dance game i own cause i was more of a dance central fan. But my fave songs to dance to on it were What U Waiting For, Pump It, Land of 1000 Dances, Video Killed a Radio Star, Tightrope, Beautiful Liar, and of course Apache. I’ll never get over Will and Carlton dancing to that in Fresh Prince of Bel Air

It's the only way to dance no matter the song or the beat you can slow the the Rhythm way down and still be in time with the tune it's all in the touch it's all in the way that you both move together it's actually just like making love I've had this argument before I have always said. if you don't know how to dance you don't know how to fuck.
If you can't become one on the Dance Floor with a rhythm or beat you're not going to be able to do it any bad either
But then again it's always fun to try to teach.
Just like with music there's many instruments that blend together in timing and your body becomes all those instruments
No matter the tempo the speed the beat the Rhythm no matter which direction they are going it all Blends together as one if you can move every part of your body in the same manner against hers she will field that vibration to her core and once you do that you want to hear the song over and over and over again

We had dance marathon at our university which supports a charity every year. Where you have to be on your feet for 30 hours. It wasn't always dancing for 30 hours but we'd dance to a regular skit every hour. In-between there was DJs, club style jams, and even slow and line dancing. There was also active activities like jump ball and stuff to do to keep the standing doable overnight. The best part of my first time was I met an awesome date during the event, and we hit it off so fast which made the overnight seem like a breeze. She invited me to her sorority crushes, evantually asked me to go to her formal, which had excellent dancing at the end of the night. I felt alive with her everything was so natural, definitely love dancing.

While she and I were baking cupcakes and cooking spaghetti, we had Alexa in her kitchen and we were slow dancing and singing duets together. We were dancing to Van Morrison’s “These Are The Days” after Nine Months was over. We dance every time we get together.

If he's already halfway okay (knows more than any beginner) than it can be a fun date.

Unless you are good at the activity, I would NOT recommend it as a first or second date as she will be interacting with several other guys there and it will be a very clear that she might have better 'chemistry' with someone else.

I would suggest third date or later where you are optimistic she is looking for more than a physical connection. It is very very easy for a girl to be approached by an interested suitor AT a lesson or dance. It is good to know the person enough so that both parties are comfortable coming and leaving as an item.

Unfortunately my dancing is standing in the corner tapping my foot to the beat if I like the song (and possibly singing along if it's an actual song, not just "dance" music). Only thing that will get me on the actual dance floor is probably "The Time Warp" from the Rocky Horror Picture Show.

Honestly the only dance I've ever done is slow dancing lol. I'd be willing to learn though, hopefully in a smaller class to keep embarrassment to a minimum. I did boxing for 5yrs so I know I can keep rhythm and timing but I'm also working on getting back into shape also so I'm sure I'm a bit rusty.

I do like dancing, but I also feel shy. But nothing like liquid courage, would help. I was starting Salas lessons right before covid hit, it started when I was getting to my last few classes. I was disappointed because it was mostly guys and couples.
Sometimes I wish I could join a group dance. Or be able to wooo women on the dance floor. So much fun, so good for the soul. Sometimes ill dance, alone, at home. WelI I do hope I meet someone who loves to dance.

I probably would. It wouldn't be an early date though. My girlfriend and I have danced once so far, at a wedding. We've ricked back and forth while hugging each other plenty of times though. When I still used to drink I had no problem dancing while slightly inebriated. Now that I don't drink I would only dance with a girlfriend in a committed relationship.
