If you had to choose, what would you choose AND WHY? PS! "I choose this because it's hot" isn't an good argument in my opinion. You doesn't become prettier or handsomer when turning into a vampire or a werewolf. You would look what you looks alike in real life, but as a werewolf you turns into the wolf shape every time it's full moon and as a vampire you looks normal, but have vampire teeth and is a bit paler.
Werewolf. For several reasons; in actual werewolf mythology, werewolves had full, conscious control over their shape-shifting ability. The association between a full moon and shape-shifting into a werewolf was not part of the original folklore- that came much later on, after it was introduced by Hollywood. And that thing about being ravenous beasts which ate human flesh originated from the Greek myth of King Lycaeon- a moralistic tale, of a king who was already a cannibalistic man-eating rapist, and was transformed into a wolf as a punishment by the gods to reflect his true nature.
Also something worth bearing in mind, for the ladies out there- according to medieval mythology, female werewolves didn't have to worry about menstrual periods, and those who gave birth to werewolf cubs could also enjoy the perks of completely painless childbirths. And in almost all werewolf myths involving female werewolves, or female werebeasts of any animal (including were-hyenas, were-leopards and the like), these werewomen would retain full intelligence, and have conscious control over their own actions during their transformations (on account of women allegedly having superior control over their animalistic urges and impulses than men). What's not to love about being a female werewolf?
Neither no matter what, because I don't like the vulnerabilities that they have. Vampires are either vulnerable to sunlight, stake to the heart, beheading/decapitation, etc. Werewolves are vulnerable to silver and they require the full moon in order to turn into werewolves. Besides don't vampires NEED to continuously drink fresh blood in order to survive? Still not that much of a difference than maintenance requirements of any other living thing then. It's just not what I would want. Also, I think werewolves need to eat fresh hearts of other living beings or something in order to survive. I'll have to pass on both.
But if you had to choose then? Werewolf are regular humans most of the time, but when it's full moon they turns into wolves. You doesn't need to eat fresh heart or raw meat if you doesn't want to. You can eat when you're human, so you're full. Then you doesn't need food in the wolf form and can wait until you turn human again before eating.
Only if I get to be a human vampire hybrid like Blade in the Blade movies or Saya from from Blood the Last Vampire I'd consider it since I hate the idea of not being able to go out and get any sun without getting seriously hurt or killed.
What kind of abilities do each have? I feel like in order to make a choice I need to know what strengths each one has.
I like the idea of a vampire because I'll have control over how I look at all times, also I love night time. I don't like that fact I'd have to bite humans to stay alive, that's pretty inconvenient.
The werewolf, well I like that I can take on a completely different form. Having no control over when is frustrating though and also if I'm not aware of what I'm doing that'd suck too. Again it'd be at night so I'm good with that.
If I had to pick only based on what you've given us I'd go for a vampire because they're basically super human. Still being human at all times but potentially being super strong and fast is appealing to me. I'm naturally pale so that probably wouldn't make any difference haha!
In medieval folklore, female werewolves did for the most part have complete control over when they took on a different form, and full awareness along with full control over their actions when in wolf form (on account of them supposedly being less driven by their animalistic, bestial urges than males, and better able to keep them in check). And on top of that, being a female werewolf also had the reputed perk of not having to suffer periods, even when in human form. Might that make you more inclined to choose the werewolf option?
Dude, if vampires only have becoming paler and drink blood as their advantages then can I not choose? Lol And if I must choose between a vampire or werewolf... I'd choose being a human or death. Since the werewolf and vampire you described do not much power, I feel like it would be extra work. 😅
Werewolf. I would still be alive, I would be warm, I imagine the whole wild woods with room to roam is their thing, I like that. I could survive as a loner I'm pretty sure of it, so the werewolf life for me in the mountains somewhere would be alright.
easy answer, Vampire. not sure why this is a fair comparison. vamps habe powers where wherewolfs only shape shift into a humanoid wolf. they may live shit longer than but not injn comparisons to Vampires.
let's sees. Vampire. 1.) shapeshifting. 2. Mind control 3. Telekinesis/magic 4. flying and levitation 5. practically immortal aside from. a few things that can kill you (direct sunlight which can be overcome, allergic to garlic, stakes to the heart, o don't forget needs to drink blood).
6. older you are the more powerful you become.
this list goes on and on. o plus you can keep your original form for the most part. the werewolfs would be my slaves. need some guard dogs while I sleep.
I would choose vampire if it is like vampire diaries type. because day walking with a magic ring, they still eat real food as long as they have blood in their system, they have awesome powers (mind control, speed, strength) and they can still sleep. If not then werewolf because most of the time they are normal and only change once a month. Also they aren't dead.
Actually, I'd rather be neither, since they're both cursed, but ever since I was a kid, I always thought werewolves were cooler. When they're not werewolves, then they're at least human. Vampires are always dressed too formal, and formal means uncomfortable, and they can never be out in the sun. The only vampires I liked was Cullen's group on Twilight. Even on Twilight, I still liked the werewolves better.
Despite going with the stereotypical werewolf, I'd still choose the were. I've always loved them. When I used to role play (not sexual, rather, textual), the lycanthrope would be my usual go-to. They're just a lot less... elitists. A lot less mundane. It's a lot easier (in my opinion) to be a were as opposed to a vamp.
Werewolves always seem like they have to deal with a most incredibly painful transformation each time there's a full moon, and some seem to lose track of their rational senses during those times.
I'd prefer a vampire for that sole reason. I wouldn't have to deal with those painful full moon transformations, "that time of the month", where I might end up waking up somewhere naked and wondering what happened.
If the vampire will burn when exposed to sunlight, then werewolf sounds better. If werewolf goes berserk in a full moon night, then human sounds best. Buttttt... If the vampire is safe in daylight, can consume spices and all kinds of food, then vampire. A vampire will be able to use it's five fingers making it a far better choose.
I mostly chose vampire because I wouldn't want to be a werewolf and have my family or friends have to deal with that, or possibly accidentally transforming and hurting someone I know because I stayed out too late.
As a werewolf you doesn't need to tear people apart. Werewolves only attacks if the person have abused them for a very long time or if the person starts attacking them. They're similar to regular wolves.
Vampire. No doubt. See, no matter what, "I chose this bcoz it's hot" works bcoz of --------- THAT TWILIGHT GUY! 💋 Yeah. I know it sounds like a fanatic. But whatever!

I'd like to be a vampire if I could have the ability to exercise mind control. I wouldn't abuse the power but if someone was committing crimes and hurting people, I could "mind control" them to stop - then we wouldn't have to kill them. :)

Werewolf. Because vampires have abig sunlight handicap ( and i dont believe the twighlight version, to me , vampires die in sunlight) werewolves dont have that handicap, and will turn back after full moon

Werewolves are regular humans most of the time. It's only when they changes shape they becomes wolves. Vampires can't eat regular food and the only things they feeds on is blood. Vampires lives forever if they doesn't get killed, something that may be boring and there's many things that can kill them like sun, holy water, garlic, crosses etc.

Werewolf for sure! I can't take vampires seriously. Especially since they sparkle and werewolves are not immortal. Werewolves also have cut abs according to twilight lol

They doesn't attack random people. If you're going to attack them, it's because the person have abused you over a long time or starts attacking you. As a werewolf you switch between being a human and a "regular" wolf. But it's smart to being in the wood or outside and not inside your house when turning, because opening the door is difficult in the wolf form and it's hard to go to the bathroom.
