I don't think Justin dated either one for their appearance - I think it was their personality. I saw Selena Gomez in a t. v. interview when she was 19 years old and she seemed very mature and graceful and classy and quick witted and feminine. Another thing that supports the idea that Justin does not date or marry for looks is the fact that he dated Jasmine V when she used to be a size 0 or 00 - I think her record label told her to gain 60+ pounds so she could attract more fans but she used to wear a size 0 so if you look at how drastically different Selena Gomez is from the high school aged Jasmine V - its unlikely he dated either one of them for their looks alone. Also Hailey Baldwin looks nothing like either of his two ex girlfriends - to me Justin Bieber must have married her because she seemed more genuine than the girls who wanted his money.
