What would you rate my self-portrait?

I've recently started trying to sell my art. I tried to make a self-portrait to show off my skills but it didn't turn out half as good as I intended it to. I'd be super grateful for any feedback!

Try to block in some simpler shapes, for example the eyebrows are such a saturated color combo with the shape being a bit ambiguous.

The hair also has no transition from the forehead, try to think about how the clumps of hair fold and where the light would be hitting. For example if you squint your eyes you can see that all the hair below your eye line is basically the same darkness and shouldn't have a whole not of contrast, you want to call attention to the features of the face and have the hair be neutral.

Yeah, I was too ambitious with the hair. I only ever do things in black and white so I think I was asking a bit too much of myself lol. And ugh the eyebrows where the devil to figure out how to colour them in. I cut out like a thousand eyebrow shaped blobs of paper and did everything I could think of. This ended up being the best out of all of them. It's a shame because the test I made turned out so cool looking but I think I just lacked the skills and practice to pull it off in the end. Keep at it. Made me think of the cover art for the game Gris (https://store.steampowered.com/app/683320/GRIS/ ), which won Steam's Outstanding Visual Style Award for 2019.

I think it is Great because it's not only good. But I could feel you through your painting you allowed us to feel ur beauty from the inside out and with the beauty of night or stars of the unknown I love it and to be honest this was first thought I think if I was to look at it a little longer I would see and feel something even deeper

The only problem is that your eyes appear to be pointing in different directions, which isn't the case in the photo. It's a little thing but it throws the picture off completely. Otherwise, professional.

I'd say it lacks a bit of detail and you definitely gotta work on ears a bit more. The left eye looks a bit awkward as well. It also doesn't capture your expression very well I think.
Same weak points as me actually. Lol

It looks like a basic digital art print. Lacks depth, detail and shadowing.

Collected art for some time and will tell you this, it will take you years to make real progress. If it's your passion just go for it.

Shading technique makes or breaks a piece of art. Perfect your shading technique and use different size charcoal pencils when the need arises as well as different size blenders for ultimate shading
