Who do you think would make a better Batman than Robert Pattinson?

Daniel-Day Lewis as an older one! :-D

I think Robert Pattinson might surprise me doing a very good and fresh job with Batman, but I think I like the idea of him more as a Joker-like villain than Batman.
Maybe Dan Stevens for a younger one:
I recommend seeing The Guest in order to see what I'm talking about. He has a slim and tall build which I think works well in the batsuit, a certain gravelly aspect to his voice without being over-the-top about it, an expressive jawline, the most intense eyes, and he's really good in my perspective at portraying characters struggling with inner demons (Apostle is another example):

Daniel-Day Lewis definitely as an older Bruce Wayne!! I can't picture Dan Stevens, mostly because he seems too blondish. But I know there's a lot that can be done with hair and makeup. Jawline, yes.
Good call on those choices.
He's also naturally a bit towards quite slim. He bulked up a bit for some roles like The Guest but I always found with those big armored suits (like Peter Weller in Robocop as an extreme example) that the slimmer builds seem to carry them much better. It's like there's already too much much mass on the body to look reasonably mobile if the guy is built in a sturdier way.
Also like the idea of Michael Fassbender a bit, although I'm not sure how well he'd look in the batsuit... but he can definitely do a very complex character, and would almost certainly excel for the Bruce Wayne part in my opinion. I like ideas in this kind of vein if you can spot a pattern. I'm questioning if they can pull off that Bruce Wayne side with the deepest sense of sophistication and class, but also maybe a bit distant, calculating with a lingering coldness in their performance, subtle hints of emotions, something of this sort. Then second, and of lesser interest to me, is the more action-oriented roles in the batsuit although I think it's still pretty important for the right kind of screen presence.
Also pretty good, I think, would be Luke Evans:

Luke Evans, yes I wonder if he might be good too.
by the way, the Apostle looks creepy as hell.
I'm wondering how different these next films will be compared to Christopher Nolan's Batman.
I just can't stand this Pattinson guy!!
I hope they kind of stick to the more serious and darker element over the more whimsical kind of Tim Burton approach to it. I actually like Pattinson sometimes but when he plays characters that are completely bonkers like in Cosmopolis or Good Time... but that's where I see him more suitably playing villain -- he has kind of crazy eyes:

I remember you mentioning that film before. I'll have to check it out.
I'm not sure if it's entertaining or not. The characters sort of talk over each other. It's oddly disconnected. I don't know what it means. :-D It just made a lasting impression on me of a kind few films do, and when films do that to me, I dig it... even if I'm not sure what to make of it on viewing.
That's what sold me on RP as a competent actor though. He was never anything but bland to me elsewhere. Then I also saw Good Time and I thought he was quite decent there as a small-time criminal.
It's difficult for me these days to think so many amazing young actors or actresses. It might be a generational bias, or me not paying as much attention to new films or some kind of bias of sorts... but I don't know. It seems like they get wetter-behind-the-ears and younger-looking the older I get. :-D I can't think of too many prodigy equivalents of like a young DDL, or young Al Pacino, or young Dustin Hoffman, or even Tom Cruise, Susan Sarandon, Nicole Kidman, Kathy Bates, Meryl Streep, Julianne Moore, etc. etc. etc... or even someone as bizarrely charismatic as a Nic Cage these days, or even Jean-Claude Van Damme (maybe not a good actor like an Arnie or Sly, but has a screen presence I find lacking these days). To me they the majority seem like "teen drama" material -- I'm almost certain my eyes are biased. :-D
Karl Urban is another one I think might be quite good -- and he certainly has a most expressive scowl even with a mask on, and he can look quite sharp in a suit:
And certainly the gravelly voice. He has an unusually expressive jaw area -- that scowl in the Dredd film expresses a whole lot:

Ohh I just watched him in The Boys (amazon). I might be able to see that working!
If you haven't seen Dredd, I think that's a most excellent one (not to be confused with cheesy Sly flick). It's a very straightforward action flick -- just one day in the life of Judge Dredd -- which keeps the pacing gripping and suspenseful the entire time. But I think he can emote a whole lot even with just his lower-face exposed the whole time -- you never see him unmasked once in the whole film but he communicates a great deal in spite of it. I might pay a bit more attention to these things given my weird upbringing bouncing between cultures -- I got used to paying a lot of attention to facial expressions and voices as a vital part of communication to kind of help me piece together what the words meant as I was learning new languages like English. But I'm definitely seeing a most perfect Batman there at least in the suit -- not sure about Bruce Wayne but I imagine he could pull off Bruce Wayne quite well.
I prefer that Michael Fassbender stay in the Assassin's Creed films. I really liked his character in and out of the Animus. He's just getting started.
@October808 I have to check out AC. I think Michael Fassbender is a great actor but I kind of avoided AC since I don't always have the best image of films based on games.
Scott Adkins.
@Obtuse Yes, I agree.
Yeah, he'd be a good one!
Brant Daugherty
Thanks girl! ❤️

When Kevin Conroy first started doing Batman the Animated Series he was my top choice. He had the voice, the acting chops, the physique and the jawline. Now he'd be closer to the older Bruce Wayne seen in Batman Beyond.
@October808 Sure, but lest be honest here. The vast majority of DC live action movies have been pretty shit when compared to their animated works.
Also, glad someone knows who he is.
True they have. I like Keaton's films and only the first Bale film. 'Mask of the Phantasm' is my favorite.
I'll provide the voice of Batman for Robert Pattinson.

Well Steven Seagal likes kung fu, Asians, is huge, and likes justice a little too much. Hand in glove, he also wears bullet proof clothes on a regular lol
Haha he's the perfect batman!
🤣🤣🤣 He's more of Badman

Armie Hammer And His Glorious Chin Address Those Batman Rumours

Ohhh I liked him in The Man from Uncle
Yes i see lol
Colin Farrell

Richard Armitage https://upload. wikimedia. org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/7/7f/Richard_Armitage_%2813947604455%29_cropped. jpg/615px-Richard_Armitage_%2813947604455%29_cropped. jpgJon Hammhttps://upload. wikimedia. org/wikipedia/commons/7/71/Jon_Hamm_lightened_and_cropped. jpg
God damnit...
Richard Armitage
Jon Hamm
Richard Armitage, yes! I don't see John Hamm for the part. I don't like him.
I think people are being too harsh on him. They said the same exact things about Micheal Keaton and also Ben Affleck both of which I think did a good job (I think for Affleck the problem was not his acting but the writing which was awful). So I am willing to wait and see what happens before throwing him under the bus.
It's kinda weird why Robert Pattinson would accept this role. I mean the target audience of this silly cartoon action figure wouldn't be able to comprehend his typical character (e. g The Lighthouse, The King, The Rover, Good time, High Life, etc. ). They'd probably want someone like a 3rd rate stunt actor Hollywood """martial artist""" for the role.
Well he fits more the physique of Frank Miller and David Mazzuchelli's 'Batman: Year One'.
Jensen Ackles ❤️
Dwayne " The Rock" Johnson.
Why not he was offered the Superman gig before Hank Cavill.
WHAT. Nooo.
I'm shocked. I can't imagine the Rock as either of them.
NO way. He's already Black Adam.
@October808 lol, i wasn't aware of that.
I can't imagine him in that batman costume... he's too skinny lol
@GoodGuyBreakingBad That's one fine AF man😯
Thanks for the mention @R_ūshī
Clark Bartram in 2010.
When I first saw this fanfilm I was blown away. I got chills at how accurate they made it.
Elton John?
Matthew Gray Gubler, Freddie Highmore, Bob Newhart, Topher Grace, Kurtwood Smith, Dean Stockwell, Daniel Webber
In my personal opinion no. He wouldn't be better. But I wouldn't mind giving him a chance because you never know what he could do.
? 🤔
I didn't watch.. Doesn't Batman wear his mask throughout the movie?
I think the actor isn't that important.
Keanu Reeves just so we can see batman say "Whoa.." 😂😂
Noooo. I love Keanu Reeves but I don't know about as Batman..
I dont know nut Robert Pattinson has to bulk up to play batman he's way to skinny
Yeah he does. He's working on bulking up, apparently. He's so ugly though. I've never liked him as an actor either.
Me!
Nah just kidding... I would be Superman!
Still I don't think he will do a very good job.
I don't get the pushback against the guy. Watch "Good Time" and tell me that is not a mesmerizing performance.
Literally anyone. Stick the cape and cowl on a snowman and it'd have more charisma and personality.
I honestly am excited to see him as Batman over Ben Affleck although I heard he did a good job
I’d of loved to see Tom Hardy as Batman. In another lifetime maybe 😭😭😩
Anyone can play batman for me
They don't last long anyway
If Ben Affleck played him when he was younger, he would have been perfect. I'm not talking about in the 90's. The way he looked in The Town is what I'm referring to.
Yeahhhh! But maybe not that accent 🤣
That's a good movie!
Lol.
The Corpse of Adam West. Only slightly kidding. If they were doing him as the older version, Jim Caviezel.
Sorry Syd, but I'm not a fan. Can't think of another guy right now, but not him.
ian somerhalder
I don't know, I’d just be happy to never see an origin story again.
Never really thought about it. But i would prefer for them to pick a nobody.
none they have no beards there gays or there bitchs. and mastachs dont count there called cock brooms
Literally any male on the planet would make a better Batman.
I’d like to say nobody because it’s been overplayed, maybe Steve Austin should try it
Michael Keaton... or Adam West
Adam West would have to be brought back from the dead or completely CGI.
In general I think he is second best only to Michael Keaton as batman
Jack Black
Well I freakin love Jack Black so... I'd be on board with that. Lol
100% totally agree.
Who ever can do the part justice
Don't know. He's an amazing actor.
Christopher Nolan will answer
No idea since I don't watch it much.
Me 💪
My boyfriend
Honestly anyone
Almost anyone - - -
Idris Elba
Hell yeah!
Nearly ANYONE
Shit... i would...
Christopher Walken
Nah he's Max Schreck.
@October808 I know, but I'd kill to hear Walken as Batman
I'd also like to see Nic Cage as the Caped Crusader
Directed by John Woo with lots of slo mo shots of flying doves.
Kevin James.
Bruce Willis
