I have heard both strong arguments for and against the idea... One streamer said he thinks "it's dumb the girls have more followers and they suck at the game. They make it harder for serious streamers to make a living"... I don't know how much truth this holds but it inspired my question... P. S.: Please debate like adults... Respect each other's opinions EVEN if you don't agree and let's have fun...

I personally find it "smart" in a way since there are many desperate thirsty little boys on twitch who literally just watch a stream for cleavage lol so that's easy views and money for the girls. I've spent a lot of times on twitch since I'm a league of legends fan and let's be honest, the girls who try soooo hard to look sexy on camera and literally have their camera taking over half the screen, I'm pretty sure they just want attention to their body and not the actual game play. And the gameplay is usually trash too. And that's what the majority of those girls do. They aren't real gamers. Just random girls who decided to dress provocatively trying to show their cleavage off to young boys who probably never seen boobs in their life lol

Anyways, it isn't wrong what they are doing since it isn't breaking any rules. We just shouldn't call them gamer girls because they aren't lol the actual good gamer girls just wear the most casual clothes ever and actually have their camera at a normal size so you can actually enjoy the game.

I just watch people (girls and guys) who actually enjoy playing video games and not the ones trying to get attention cause it is easy money/views lol

I agree with the fact that it is really a lot easier for "gamer girls" to get followers than "gamer guys". Do they have to be equals in the game to have more followers? In my opinion, definitely not. Does this sometimes hurt serious gamers because sex appeal > gaming skill? Yes.

But I will tell you, that there are probably 500:1 (or more) good gamer guys than gamer girls. Would I still be more willing to follow a gamer girl in lingerie, or in yoga pants and a sports bra? Yes, absolutely, because it pleases me and makes me happy and horny. And isn't that what we are all really looking for anyway?

It's not wrong, but I do think it gives them an additional advantage and makes it easier for them to gain followers without having to be good at games or having an interesting personality. That being said, I think it's totally fair for people to call them out on it and not respect them the same. You can't have your cake and eat it too. You can't get easy views by flaunting your sexuality and then also demand to be viewed in the same light as someone who got their views from their skill or personality.

I have seen a lot of gamer girls , one of my best friends is a gamer girl, there is those who are just playing streaming and having fun and there is those who are showing a little bit too much and act all extra cute to get more view and donation. It's up for the viewer to keep watching or not, to donate or not, i go for the content, the game, the commentary , the way they are approaching or playing the game, looks don't matter to me. It means they are strong because of the society. The more people want to see cleavage the more followers she gets. Which itself means most of the people are liking girls to wear those dresses but I have noticed when it comes to family show different faces. So basically it's not problem with girls but with the eyes of the beholder. So if we like girls in full dresses, appreciate them more, give them full support, no matter how they look, support them. Make them comfortable in every dress they wear. They will never think of catching your attraction with cleavage and all. So it responsiblity of us guys to change the trend, dont make them or force them indirectly to be the way we want them.

People aren't watching cleavage gamers to watch someone be good at the game, so I don't think the argument that they are eating up potential views is valid. Those people want to watch someone they're attracted to having something in common with them. I don't think it is wrong, and I think it's sending a good message that if you do something interesting in addition to being pretty, you end up being like double pretty. lol The one problem there is that it can also send a message that girl gamers aren't to be taken seriously for their actual skill or ability to play the game, which I can only imagine is incredibly frustrating to women who want to be recognized for those talents instead of all the attention being based on the fact that they're female.

Well the statement by the gamer seems a bit reasonable but we can't tell that about every girl. Some may really show off for followers and some may not. But still gamers like Pewdiepie are there. So, I think that girls showing off does not matter and it is only the content quality of the guys that decides their followers.
