What are some good Bollywood movies for a non Hindi speaking White guy to watch?

Lajjo was by far my favorite so far, and then Kama Sutra.
I prefer something set either in pre-modern times, or in modern times but in a traditional setting. I wanna see the palaces and dresses and traditional life. Preferably something made after the 70s, though I can go earlier if it's not super corny. Not too interested horror, romance, comedy. Though a romance/comedy aspect is fine, as long as it's not the sole focus of the movie. Action is also fine, as long as it's not too over the top like American action films.
Beautiful women are a MUST, and sex scene would be an added bonus!

And it has to be something that's available online with English subtitles.

Any suggestions?

I decided I will watch "Lagaan" tonight, but I'd like to have some for the future too.
