A trope is usually a certain element of characterization or the specific environment of most consumed media. Each movies tend to always follow a certain character that are honestly getting overused or simply doesn't make sense. My question for you men and women are can you list off your cliches in movies that you are getting tired of seeing? This isn't in any specific order but here are my personal four, trust me I have a lot but I just going to list off four four. This isn't an attack question or a question to start petty drama but only too knowledge how most movies creators literally stick with the same tired characters in their movies.
Action women wearing high heels- I ain't a female by any chance and I don't usually like to criticize how others dress but damn how the hell these ladies can do all those impossible stunts while wearing long ass heels, I wonder aren't their feet hurting just from running in heels alone.
Adults who plays teenagers- I honestly never understand why there are so many adult actors who constantly play as teenagers and the worst part about it is their teens role doesn't feel like teenagers at all, instead their characters tend to feel more like college or actual adults instead.
The generic white man loser who becomes a hero- I honestly have no issues with white men or white leading characters but in general usually all of the roles that get played are exactly the same a white brown hair male who started as a zero but suddenly turned hero. Seriously give me a break!🤣
The black witty sidekick- Oh geez these brothas and sistas are just straight up embarrassment, there entire characterization is sorely to piggy back for the white lead, while delivering some of the lamest lines.
Sorry for the long rant but most movies sometimes has lost their creative and relying on old tired characterization. But I wonder for you guys and girls out there can you list off movies concepts that makes you get bored off your sheets?

I'm tired of all the tropes really. Star Wars: The Force Awakens was the definitive collection of every terrible movie trope ever made all packaged together into one movie. Sadly it had to be under the name of my favorite franchise!
Marry Sue, black token that gets sidelined, forced multiracial sexual tensions of black male with white female, the male villain that does everything wrong, feminist propaganda piece, forced gay sexual tensions, diversity quota, adding in ALL of the star wars movies tropes from the original trilogy. Like PLEASE JUST STOP! By doing this everything just felt unnatural and I didn't feel like i was watching a movie but a propaganda piece. It's fine to have diversity, it's fine to have strong female leads, it's fine to have strong characters of various races, but do it NATURALLY and make it flow. Don't make it feel like some force-fed garbage. The sequel trilogy was a flop for this reason.
In the 1980's you felt bad for watching an action flick with a black guy in it because you knew he was always gonna die smfh. It still kinda happens rather often too though at least not as much. It's bad when you can see a character based on gender and race and know their fate by movies end before it happens just based on genre. White boy = Last man standing, Dumb blonde chick = Ditzy Machete fodder, Black guy = try hard dude that gets quickly and ingloriously killed off (at least in Predator even though they died they were decent characters though), Black girl= loud, obnoxious, always at least part hood, comes across less feeling than the cry baby white girl friend. Native American = knows how has supernatural instincts and somehow always still dies
yeah that whole thing was a nightmare, worst case scenario. I cannot tell you how absolutely heartbroken I was leaving that theater. If I was a bit softer I'd have been crying. It was SO BAD for the franchise. And disney even went so far as to declare all established lore "legends" and not canon. Suffice it to say that every last fan of the Old Republic era was PISSED!
I am always down for diversity but damn the way all creators take it is basically disgraceful. Too many sjw content is the reason why I prefer most eastern shows and games these days there isn't as much work stuff in their media
yeah I also like some of the stuff coming out of Russia too. They got some decent movies. But dont ask me to remember the names of said movies as I can't read their titles but thankfully they had English sub lol
found a few I remember: 1612: Khroniki smutnogo vremeni Attack on Leningrad (2009) Matilda (2017) Admiral (2008) The Romanovs: An Imperial Family (2000) warning this one might make you cry at the end and it really happened.
Every horror movie character that isn't the hero or the killer/monster. You have the stupid adults that don't believe there's a killer on the loose even if it's obvious based on disappearing people and blood trails turning up everywhere that there's a murder spree going on. Then there are a bunch easy victims who say things like "I heard something strange outside. I'm just going to go alone into the dark to see what's up."
I know they think they need these characters to move the plot along but a little realism couldn't hurt. Real people aren't as dumb as that.

All your examples cracked me up, especially the absurdity of trained female assassins doing back flips, spins, kicks, running and jumping in spike heeled boots. LOL

Cultural stereotypes are ridiculous.
Guys fighting and having shit done to them that no real person would walk away from, but they shake it off and keep fighting.
Heroes have to growl when they talk.
The portrayal of machoness as lacking any display of emotion or ability to communicate is a role model for boys.
Well, the reason they use 18-22 year olds to play teenagers because real teenagers have high school and other things to worry about.
The only trope that annoys me is the "strong independent woman" trope where 105 pound women are knocking out grown 200+ pound men who have the same level of fighting experience and training as she does, regardless of being the bad guy. That's NOT how real physics work! A 105 pound woman could barely knock out an average man in one blow, let alone trained bad guys.
But really, the whole trope of asshole feminists trying to "erase strong men" in order to create sh*tty female characters who act like pseudo alpha males is getting old.
Cop cars crashing into each other. People making shots with guns that there is no way they could actually make. Princess falling in love with the guy she hates. Guy who has never been in a helicopter being able to fly one. (or any variation of this theme) Person who runs from a car instead of stepping sideways. Almost falling off a cliff. (with the sound of pebbles going over the edge). Laugh tracks. Mean guard dog - except with the guy that the dog happens to like. Fat guys running for mile after mile. Not checking the closet when everyone KNOWS someone/something is hiding there. People who are about to kill each other making clever small talk.
Yea, a lot of this is from action movies, but those movies are full of tropes.
Oh yes I haven't thought of the former bully turned friend yes, like it would really be that easy to make up with the person who literally gave you hell. 😂

I'm goona be boring here and not list specifics because... honestly I can't think of any right now! But I agree, it's getting mighty boring. I usually sum it up to say it feels like so many movies today were written by A. I. Computer takes most popular keywords, multiples together, and wa-la, looks like we got ourselves another 'topical' movie. Snooooooze. Good topic. Sorry I didn't contribute more/better.
Yes, that one do get super ridiculous. I can understand that it trying to showcase action female characters especially considering most men are taught to never hit women but really you telling me a 90 pound girl can take down a 300 pound guy? It definitely smell of forced pandoring.
