It has, but don't think it will lose much more. There have been plenty of other types of media for several decades now, and people still read. Books can do something other media can't and some people are into that.

Also you can get the summary of the book online wherever. But nothing will replace the experience of reading a book. Not an audiobook. A kindle might, but only in sunlight.

She is to the point here. The distractions part is the worst. Whenever I am reading something, I just keep my phone away along with other gadgets. Mental focus on reading only.
