I think it’s stupid asf because it’s the parents fault for bringing their child to the events 🤷🏻♀️ Drag queens aren’t doing anything wrong they’re just performers like what are they going to do? Harm them? Of course not! Texas is waay too homophobic.
They don't "bring them" to the events. Schools and libraries often do this without telling the parents at all. Hence why Florida passed a bill banning this kind of shit. It's messed up how insidious some people on the LGBT side are; they want to indoctrinate and groom children to this shit in secret.
Idgaf Texas is stupid asf. They think religion solves everything and their homophobic thoughts. This is why I prefer California over Texas. Idc. I’m glad California accepts them.
I have seen that people were complaining about that I’m from Texas in my opinion if you don’t like it just don’t go but don’t deny people that do like drag from being able to enjoy watching it or participate in it so people forget you can just not go to the event but why ruin it for everybody else that wants to attend
that's such a childish answer, this is wrong. and we have an obligation to keep kids away from sexual things. this isn't a "oh you do you" kind of situation
Don’t take your kids there and don’t go don’t enjoy having a good time and be like somebody take away something you enjoy it because they were offended by it
@007kingifrit You comparing a drag queen telling children a story to parents fucking their own child is childish.
@Texasgal95 gave a great answer. No one is forcing you or others to take your kids to drag queen story time. There is nothing wrong with parents choosing to take their kids. As long as they aren't sex offenders what is it to you what other parents choose?
Although I don’t agree that the ban is a good thing, I appreciate that you at least have the sense that ‘forcing’ views is something that is prevalent on the conservative side as well. I’m tired of conservatives saying “stop forcing this on our kids!” while they simultaneously force bible verses down your throat

Banning stuff is pointless. I personally dont think the drag stuff shouldn't be brought to the kids attention... but at the same time, kids have seen worse when they break through mommy and daddys parental controls on the web. So its almost like what are we even guarding them from if their parents are giving them phones and tablets in preschool and elementary 🤷♀️
I've seen one dudegal in person with my cousin on the street as kid, we were like 12.. i was a bit shocked lol, but it was funny to us at the same time. Because we heard about them before, but never seen them in person. It's probably not the best to bring kids to these shows, because you never know what happens there. And i'm saying this as someone who went to a similar event as a kid some years later lol. It was weird.
@ElvenMr lmao not a dudegal 💀😂 I don't know I see drags as entertainers like male and female strippers. I just distance myself from each. I wouldn't stray in that atmosphere. They can go do as they please bt im gonna go the other way

Texas already has a law (passed only a year ago) that explicitly forbids sexual-oriented businesses (which a gay bar putting on a drag show for children definitely falls into) from allowing anyone under 21 onto the premises. The real mystery here is why that's not being enforced in a brazen violation of that law.
So if the laws are being ignored by law enforcement, what's the point of more laws that they'll just selectively run interference for or ignore?

Ban drag queens, ban child beuty pageants, keep Hooters as is. I think if they wish to ban drag queens, they are free to do as they please. I do care if I notice sexual inuendo in shows and movies intended for kids. Hooters is a resturant. Its fine. The waitresses are not that sexualized. And for anyone who thinks Hooters and drag queens are similar, I take it you have the same isues with drag queens you have with Hooters, riight? In worst case scenario, make both Hooters and drag queens 18+ only and blame the prudes who already hate on Hooters. If they are similar enought to be compared that is.
I support the ban strongly. Drag queen shows in front of children are paedophile grooming. If I had my way, everyone involved would be sent on a one-way journey to a Zyklon B shower.

Frankly, the more Texans that self-remove themselves from society, either by freezing to death, heat stroke, obesity related ailments or guns... The better for everyone.
Stop thinking of them as people and get some popcorn and enjoy the show.
@lofii I shouldn't be surprised that someone as stupid as you doesn't know the meaning of the words you hurl as insults. Didn't your President think "over educated" was an insult? Lol.
All drags queens are freaky weirdos as far as I am concerned and no parent should allow the kids to be around any drag queen.
That being said , if such a law were to pass the courts would probably strike it down since at the end of the day it is up to the parents to decide if they expose their kids to that stuff.
It makes no sense, and it shows their priorities quite well. Ban drag queens to spare children from exposure to it, but doesn't even touch firearms access and spare them being shot in the face. I am all for the 2nd amendment, but come on, there must be a line.
i will discuss it with a minor under my care; however, do not consider "alternate lifestyles" conducive to the education and development of young people under my care. if someone wants to seek out such lifestyle, they can do so upon reaching adulthood, then make their own decisions. i feel the same way about porn, violence, crime, combat, drinking and drugs.
mmmm as far as I remember, our government is "By the People, for the people..." so, people get to make laws, and the courts get to rule on their Constitutionality... It's worked for over 200 years... and YOU think you know better... hahahahahahaahahahahahahahahahahahassahahahahahahahaah
You make excellent points about standards needing to be uniform. I think that children shouldn’t be in any of those situations. We may not agree on my opinion, but we can at least agree on consistency.

As a kid I watched nothing but straight media I grew up to be bisexual. You can NOT turn kids gay. Read up on it. y'all are seriously ignorant.

if you're not against this, you should be hurt
You can keep them away by not taking them
Don’t take your kids there and don’t go don’t enjoy having a good time and be like somebody take away something you enjoy it because they were offended by it
nobody has the right to take their own kids there. just like you don't have the right to fuck your own kids

Tell me how this drag queen is sexual?

Good for Texas. Now can they pass a law prohibiting parents and churches from indoctrinating kids with religious nonsense?
Although I don’t agree that the ban is a good thing, I appreciate that you at least have the sense that ‘forcing’ views is something that is prevalent on the conservative side as well.

The text unfortunately doesn’t convey the sarcasm intended in my first sentence.
Oh well then we’re on the same page then haha

There really needs to be a rethink on this wall idea in the US.
just wall up the entire state, those that want to leave can, the wall the rest up.
It’s likely, as well you do not have Pantomime Dames there lol.
It would likely result in shootings at theatres.

Oh and in Panto, girls play the guys role, such as Aladdin or Jack etc
So insecure. “Do as I say. Now.. let me have what *I* want.” attitude. School books come out of TX… can I start my complaints about them here?
Excellent point on Hooters. Just had to say. Pot/kettle.
You don't think it's wrong because you're a pedophile
you're a *beep*
Y’all are weird for thinking that drag queens are pedos trying to groom children. There’s literally zero correlation
It's called grooming.
You're sick.
No wonder you're okay with that sick shit. Just look at your profile.
Watch who you let around your children people. You got sickos like this walking around
I support the ban strongly.

Good. I hope Florida follows through with their ban as well.
Your kids are way safer with drag queens than they are with a catholic priest 🤡

This is moral degeneracy and and any parent taking their children to events like that are degenerate parents.
I don't see it like that, a drag queen show must be pretty fun and I would go with my little sister and just enjoy
