Hi need some advice from betters on horses?

this is my first time going to start betting on horses the reason for it is because I've been thinking about it a long time i was watching still game and seen winston doing it all the time he's my fave and it reminded me of my dad that died whom i was very close to i was a daddys girl and horses are my fave animals and people say its stupid to do it but it sounds fun and am over 18 am 33 and i would say cards and casino games are more a rip off because they have more tricks up there sleeves swap the cards switch them and on the otger hand its not as if u can do that with horses its not as if u can put a robot in a certain horse to brake it down or make it faster to make sure it looses and wins if someone bets on it more u just pic nd thats it its not a trick horse racing if u win u win u dont u dont casinos are more dodgy than racing its not all set up with races on horses it you that choosing it nd thats it but i nedd help with how the odds work and the other stuff from experianced people who bet on horses in racing can anyone help out there?
