Horseback riding with my bf- tips?

I want to bring my boyfriend horseback riding with me, but I realized I don't know any men who ride. Are there any challenges with his... equipment getting squished? I really don't know how guys ride. Guys who ride - any tips? And girls who have taken your boyfriend with you - what did they do to make it work?

Don't want to play the super sexist card here but guys have been riding horses a lot longer then girls and this is a non issue. Yes, accidents can happen if the horse is trotting high and he has poor control but thats a one off.
As an aside tip which might relate, we dont crush our balls riding bicycles and its the same deal here. The package is further up towards the belly button so while girls sit/ride "on" their sex, guys sit/ride with it in front on them.

Very helpful thank you. That makes a lot of sense, I was worried about the bouncing and the saddle. Sometimes I forget that men have been riding for a long time because I haven't seen any where I ride- but that's true. I'll bring him then, I appreciate the assurance

If your just walking around then its not an issue. If your trotting just teach him how to grip with legs and thighs but that really applies to everyone I think. I would guess it gets sore for a girl if they bounce uncontrollably on their vagina a lot?

It can hurt a little bit, but it's really not bad because there's not much to squish there, so it's easy to grip with my legs and keep it from slamming. Honestly the breasts are much worse, always bouncing during the ride and can get really sore. My best sports bras have to come out for a ride

Maybe so, there's certainly more to bounce around at a trot. Maybe thats why mostly men rode for such a long time
