Do you agree that things that are common within Kpop would be considered abnormal in modern society? Meaning the vast majority in the public don't do them.

Examples include:

1. Men wearing short tops

2. Plastic surgeries

3. Minors debuting as pop culture icons

4. Men wearing long hair

5. Men wearing makeup

6. Women in suits

Those things minus the crop tops and long hair wouldn't be abnormal or weird in korea (and for some of those like the minors debuting, guys in long hair and women in suits, that's pretty normal in the west) that's so no. Like apparently 50% of the guys in their teens and 20s wear makeup (not very visible though), and a lot of older dudes wear it for job interviews and stuff like that. A lot of the younger guys there who wear makeup also do it more visibly, often in the idol style too. Like straight guys. Plastic surgery is kinda normalized there too in general (that being said though plastic surgery isn't as common as people think in kpop though, most haven't had it nowadays at least, especially for male idols. bigger kpop companies also aren't legally allowed since about a decade ago to force idols to get surgery. it's only smaller shitty companies who do that mainly. most idols get it done cause they want too also)
