I think the idea behind it was good intend but after all, woke culture became very toxic/delusional and splitting society. This guy in the video has a very well take and explanation of woke culture and its issues
+1 yThere is nothing more that I would love to see die. It's made the genders do battle and it's brought back racism. It has done nothing more than to make everything worse.
Now it's morphed into this weird trans-gender love thing and has women being reminded that men do everything better... even at being a woman. Don't get me started on the fat acceptance movement.
It makes me wonder if this is what Rome was like before it fell. Woke culture is systematically destroying everything that made this country or other western countries great. It's turned us into a laughing stock for people we should be laughing at instead.
On top of all of that... I honestly hold the opinion that pushing this woke agenda stuff is how you end up getting another Hitler, Stallen, or Mao. It's like human's collective natural reaction to things going too far off the rails... authoritarianism. Don't be surprised if we start having witch hunts again.

6K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. I have come to absolutely despise it.
People who support it do not have the ability to reason. They are easily manipulated. They are full of hate and intolerance. They are mindless, privileged, self-righteous ideologues who disdain, liberty, freedom and the constitution. They support government authoritarianism.
That's quite different from previous progressive values like peace, love, open mindedness, tolerance, support for liberty, freedom and fairness and equality under the law, distrust of authority, and opposition to war.320 Reply- +1 y
I'm going to guess you are a white person? I'm sure people have come to despise you as well.
- +1 y
@HomoSaysWhat. LOL Are you trying to claim that most black people are "woke"? That's a laugh.
You're obviously racist, which fits perfectly with woke culture. - +1 y
Black people despise the white heros that attempt to save them.
- +1 y
@Gummy_Cluster. Absolutely true. And it seems like that's what white@Homo is doing. I've been around a lot of black people and had quite a few as friends.
Black families tend to be rather conservative. They are not real fond of riots, radical LGBTQ nonsense, latte-liberals, government authoritarianism, and other things "woke".
- +1 y
Blacks are very conservative, and that's why they would never vote for rear admiral Pete the transportation idiot. I don't really have many friends outside of work friends, but I've had some really amazing black work friends. I miss them, but they moved. And that's why when I see the black and white libtards on the news saying that black people are too stupid to get voter ID, it breaks my heart. Dems don't like black people, they use them as pawns. The Dems fought to keep their black slaves, and then they formed the KKK. Now they pretend to like them just because of their vote. The Dems are sick puppies.
- +1 y
good points gummy, clarification and definitions required. by "black" do you mean a certain culture whose mind is in the roots of African americans past, that are black. That's why some "dark" people are thrown out of "black" and the president can say "you aren't black enough"... e. g. "to understand their viewpoint.
Their past is filled with oppression and mis treatment, that trauma carries forward for some. Try saving or changing any human being from their condition... including modern day trafficked women or addicts or those trauma bonded relationships. People don't want to change... appealing to their emotions is only thing that makes sense to them. Anything else, gets rejected.
Most people I meet... are not "woke". I'm sure they exist somewhere...
no-one is going to leave their emotional viewpoint by way of logic or rational.

"Do you find this box of rice offensive because there's a black man on it?"
So now are you wokesters happy? - +1 y
@Gummy_Cluster I don't.
- +1 y
@Gummy_Cluster He was a real man whow worked rice farm in texas. They stole his legacy. Period. Cultural appropriation much? Corporations vs slaves, with corporations for the win, using the same emancipation laws...
- +1 y
Who is Ben? Pretty common name, what does it tell you about the turn of thhe centrury rice farmer who inspired this company that fed billions of people, helped represent legitimate African American culture as a public figure and icon of this well know staple food on so many peoples plates? How is Ben less racist, how us Uncle Ben even racist at all? He sells fucking rice. Don't even get me started on erasing a long standing female icon of breakfasts in Aunt Jemima...
- +1 y
To put that in perspective, some fucking rich white person is losing out on rice or pancake mix sales and they got rid of icons and still look progressive. You can't nake this shite up. Tackling classism engages every other ism. But they, the ines with your capital, do nit want you thinking that deeply. They succeeded, you are a liabikity to progress.
If you disagree, ask tye black community what has gotten better for them since we got rid of their aunt and uncle... Still police shooting s everyday, still exonomic inequality, still systemic racism. If you ever see my point, it will be a miracle. - +1 y
Edit. Rich white person is NOT missing out.
- +1 y
What are white people? I liked Uncle Bens and Aunt Jemima, it was woke to remove them. Change my mind.
- +1 y
@Heterosketero. I apparently misunderstood your earlier comments.
I see what you meant about the rice farmers. And I agree with you about the corporations pathetic attempt to appear woke by removing Uncle Ben and Aunt Jemima. It was sad.
Nancy Green loved being the image of Aunt Jemima.
I doubt if many, if any, African Americans were offended by those images. - +1 y
I know you did, but in 2023, I am applying the advice of a friend: let people make mistakes. I have a solution for big tech to solve this proboem, add italics to emphasize meaning. No worries sir, I've done this too. And yeah, I highly doubt black people were outraged by these icons either.
No sweat dude, I recognized it. Apology totally accepted. If only the left were so forthcoming in maintining discourse as you are. Peace. - +1 y
And you are moreso a gentleman.

Time moves forward now and forever and as individuals and society we should expect better from each other and ourselves now and forever. That's what it means to be alive.Shit wasn't right before? We aim to make it right today. That is the process of growing the fuck up. The people that want all of us to give up and mock growing up call it "woke". Regardless time moves forward and we expect better of ourselves now and forever. Do we give up? Or grow the fuck up.

On the other side of this propaganda the truth is people including children do not work simply because they want to but because they need to. As such banning them from working in a safe and organized environment is actually rather cruel.
As it either forces them to go without the needed money and skills or to go into even less desirable occupations to acquire it, which is like it or not what happens.
@naultd If you want to end child labor you have to provide better opportunities not simply ban curly the best opportunities they do have.
- +1 y
@naultd The problem is they are not told the whole story. If you think the jobs those kids choose to do was unfortunate, you should see what they were forced to do when they lost them.
- +1 y
@naultd
To put kids in school you have to be able to both afford to feed and house them you can school them school itself.
Mixed. It's not something that can be exclusively yes or no.
Being aware of issues such as racism etc is important. Right wingers (usually) claim to be against woke as a way to justify their prejudices.
There can be a certain degree of crying wolf or requiring representation for its own sake. For example films and shows that are focused on filling boxes but at the expense of characters and narratives.
The idea of 'strong' women being Mary Sues who have no limits or weaknesses, are rude and domineering, and are forever being praised by other characters. And criticism of this is reflected back on the reviewer.10 Reply
Anonymous(30-35)+1 yWhen I was young and naïve I supported it, or what I perceived it to be. But two things have changed since then... I am older and wiser now, and woke culture has morphed into something very different. Today's woke culture is absurd and doing a lot of harm. It has turned the US into a laughing stock in the international community. But it's worse than just embarrassing, it's dangerous. Foreign leaders like Vladimir Putin, Kim Jong-um and Xi Jinping are just watching and biding their time while the US destroys itself from within as the cancer that is woke culture does it's job. Wokeness is a big component of the illness that is destroying western society.

+1 yThe alternative to woke culture is to listen to idiot christians talk about how life is between a man and a woman. So we don't really have any choice. We can either have multi-racial trans super heroes or we can have christians shoving their cosmic jewish zombie down our throats.

Having lift every voice sung before every sporting is pretty stupid as well. There are some things that just go a little to far
