Black Widow. One of the worst movies ever made?

My wife and I just finished watching it on Netflix DVD. How can garbage like that make any money at the box office? It had three out of five stars. I rated it one star. I'm in the worst mood after wasting my time.

The plot and the visuals were beyond lame. I resent everyone involved in making films like that, from the writers to the directors, to the the teen age programmers who create the retarded visuals. And I resent people who think its entertaining. Disney and Marvel suck. So there. LOL

Smfh I never liked widow and they don’t rlly respect her as a female avenger. Like every other avenger is just ‘cooler.’

Captain Marvel is a better avenger and Gamora was a great character.

Black widow is a just some fighter.. and gets no power or cool gadgets like iron man.

With that said, how could anyone expect her to have a great origin story.

I may like it just because I swoon over the name and loved how it was a story about her and her sister. It could be a relatable one in that aspect, but otherwise I just can’t pull myself to watch it- maybe not ever, especially after the bad reviews. Why give people money when they just threw something together lol.

If you want to watch a great female heroine movie: Captain marvel, starring Brie Larson wasn’t at all bad and Wonder Woman, starring Gal Gadot is just so incredible- I watched it a second time, a day after I had watched it for the very first time. It was that good in my opinion.

let me not oversell it, but yeah she’s badass. Black widow?… Idk… she has my sympathy.

For me, it wasn't the character. It was the film. I despise movies that spend their entire budget on phony CG imagery. It's like they are made by adolescents for children.

True I see your point and I def have to add I’ve seen a few films like that unfortunately. I just meant I think the poor quality and lack of effort that went into the film was because her origin’s story and character weren’t interesting to the marvel/ cinematic team.

Scarlett Johansson is obviously a great actress, but I’m guessing and wouldn’t be surprised if her acting looked like poor quality if they gave her the cheesiest unreal lines in the script.

When it’s a respected character, story, and supposedly sometimes the actor/actress- I feel like the movie will be great. Not always ofc as there are some exceptions. This could be my own superstition, but I wasn’t surprised either when people told me the movie was horrible, and they didn’t give widow a proper goodbye from the avengers, or something like that. Yet for another avenger like RDJ/ iron man (I do love him both actor and character) they give an emotionally wrenching goodbye.

Three great movies for him and he’s super cool.

I just wasn’t surprised. Maybe a little annoyed. I share your distaste and the distaste of others who saw it, and were left disappointed 🤝😬

It wasn't even the worst marvel movie, and I'd watch it again just to see the red defender, or whatever his name was again.

And her old sister that they introduced is probably the best character replacement to be in the new avengers coming up.

Sure the movie had a weak plot cause it's basiclly giving a origin story to a character we needed to origin for. We already new she was involved in bad Russian shit and was raised as a murder machine so we didn't learn much.
I really hope it was just a plot device to intrude her fake sister, mother, and father the Russian super shoulder into a future marvel movie.

Black Widow should've had her film a long time ago... Waiting as long as they did after killing her off in Endgame made her irrelevant, and basically every MCU movie or show after Infinity War has been a poorly written, factory-made "content for the sake of content" product that fails to live up to entertainment expectations that haven't been met in about 5 years now. This, along with what Disney has done with Star Wars and other franchises are what you get when an entertainment company is more concerned with political virtue signaling than producing entertaining escapism.

Arguably the Black Widow movie should have been made earlier in the life of the MCU, when they made good entertaining films, it was originally scheduled to be green lit after Iron Man 2, but the Marvel/Disney Execs kept putting it off, and the script was rewritten a number of times to reflect the prevailing woke corporate that is Marvel/Disney.

The characters were lame, the script was bad, the filming and editing were terrible, the special effects were stupid, and the overcrowded CG imagery was pathetic. It's like it was made by adolescents for naive children.
Nothing about the film was exciting or compelling. I was just bored and insulted.
It should be used in film class to show how NOT to make a movie.

Most Netflix I saw were junk. I have Netflix free from a phone deal… never log in. I watch YouTube short videos sometimes… often cheesy but some are ok.

It really was a low budget attempt to cash in on the recent success of Endgame. It really was not as bad as you say, there have been much worse movies but I think that the Marvel Universe has jumped the shark.

It had some cool parts, but didn’t really feel like a Marvel movie… Marvel tends to have a great mix of action and comedy. Black Widow from what I remember didn’t have any comedy.
