It was around for quite a while.
As far as just the music part of it, disco was pretty much all the same.
The same tempo, beat, almost couldn't tell when 1 song stopped and another one started.
Most people only had a few dance moves that they used over & over.

If it did, that's because it sucked so bad!! But, it's NOT dead, I still hear it in some of today's music, they just don't CALL IT disco, anymore but, it's still disco!
