Is this why rap music is dying out?

When rap first came out.

The only people who listened to it were legitimately dangerous.

Aka actual gangsters. And the people making the raps were just as free spirited.

Ok fast forward 30 years... its the number 1 music genre.

The only people still making rap music aren't free spirits. And the people listening definitely aren't gangsters.

In other words it isn't even the same crowd of people making and listening to the music.

Hence its dying.

Ok the people making the music now grew up as fans. The people making the music then grew up hating everything
