Both of those sayings have bad connotations. Simple people can be interpreted as stupid people, and being easy is freedom might be interpreted as women who are sexually easy. Aesthetics-wise, the first logo is nicer, due to the contrasting colors.
We will figure the slogan out later on.
What about "being easygoing is freedom"?
Or "where easygoing is freedom".
"The Freedom of Ease"?
(Maybe; I don't know)
There are too many OSes with the word simplicity! It should be something different.
@Jamie05rhs I was thinking about something in the same line.
Maybe "easygoing is freedom".
@es20490446e Too many syllables.
by the way, did you see Bethany's comment? (Sorry if I distracted.)
@Jamie05rhs Yes, I replied to her.
The first has a more βfinishedβ appearance. Makes it look more professional.
Just what I thought.
I like the first logo because it is a full/bold font... second one looks incomplete and it does not have a good contrast
but I'm not feeling the slogans though... they can mislead to other thoughts as @Bethany22 has pointed it out well
Probably yes.
What about "being easygoing is freedom"?
Or "where easygoing is freedom".
depends... what does freedom actually refers to
if this is an OS, is it free? is it open? is it very private? exclusive? a lot of different people can take the word freedom differently
and for "simple" or "easy"
how is it easy... as in basic? user friendly? intuitive? intuitive could have a more positive connotation than "easy and plain"
It is an open source operating system.
Simple means intuitive, easygoing, direct.
I prefer intuitive...
as for the word freedom, nowadays it has a VERY conflictive connotation and charge... there is little or nothing zen about it, nowadays... sounds very political
Freedom because of being made of free software. Some people call it open source for avoiding all together the philosophical implications of it.
I guess this is like being vegan, and not wanting to be confused with a hateful vegan. You want to embrace the philosophical implications of being vegan, without being someone who spreads hate to those who don't.
Sadly the world is full of hateful extremist fools. I guess that to some degree I shall take the risk to be confused with one, rather that being totally aseptic about the philosophy behind it.
This is one of the reasons why deciding the slogan has being a little harder. It shall have purpose without being confused with extremism.
I get it...
best I got is... "intuitive freedom"
simple and..."what does that even mean?" it could cause intrigue, and once they actually go the site they will hear/read about it
after all... it is the usual for the people that are looking for these things, to always pay more attention to these kind of things, right? the ones looking for alternative OS options
I will think about it... π€―
I would change the slogans.
Something like:
*Made for simplicity.
*Easy for one, simple for all.
The logo is dope; although I hope it doesn't lose value, due to different cultural interpretations of it.
Oh, what cultural interpretations?

A is bolder and easier to read
Just what I thought...
Neither. Because you didn't pick mine. Lol
Compute in freedom.
Will be considered.
Actually, I think mine was "Compute Naturally.". But close! π€
And thank you for considering! π π
Thank you for the suggestion.
No problem. :)
What about "compute smooth"?
Nah. It doesn't flow well. Even if you said "compute smoothly," it would still be cheesy.
Jeeze π§
Lol. Sorry, man. π
