Favourite book/book recommendations?

I’ve started to get back into reading again recently. I re-joined my local library and have bought a few books.

I was wondering if anyone has any book recommendations or could let me know their favourite book?

I’m currently reading East of Eden by John Steinbeck, and I’m listening to the Mythos audiobook by Stephen Fry. I have a few ‘to read’ books on my list but would love to add more. The next one I have from the library is Alone in Berlin.

Instead of titles, I'll say a couple favorite authors:

Neal Stephenson, Ursula K. LeGuin, Kurt Vonnegut Jr., Tom Robbins.

There are also heaps of classics that are great.

A good series was James Corey's "The Expanse" which was made into a series, but I recommend reading the whole thing first before watching the series, so you have your own vision of the author's universe before seeing someone else's.
