I had rinse a game disc with water, used rubber alcohol, and dry it off with a paper towel, or bath towel. It still didn’t help the game disc work properly.

If the disc is scratched up, you might need to purchase a cd scratch repair kit. It will smooth out the scratches so it will play properly.
Something like this
Does this works for Nintendo GameCube discs?
Not sure. I looked those up and the discs are tiny. Might be too small for that contraption to work. I heard you can use toothpaste on the scratches if they aren’t too deep. The abrasiveness smoothes the edges of the scratch so the laser can read it easier. Might be worth a shot.
Is it safe to used toothpaste to clean a game disc?
It’s just something I read. Never tried it.
Oh, okay. Thank you.
Check for scratches, you can’t clean those. If that’s not the case then maybe you need to clean out your system.
I say try anti static towel.
