A few celebs are recruited for military training to see if they can withstand the task. I have to go back and watch the first two eps that I missed but I’m watching tonights ep. The car was submerged into the water and they had to try to hold their breath. Kenya Moore is the one on the zipline in the pic I believe. Ex pageant queen is putting these olympics winners to shame. I’m proud of her ep 3. Can’t wait to go back and watch ep 1 and 2. But of course ep 4 will aire before then so I’ll be watching out of order again 🤣

I’m like in love with this show y'all. I finally saw ep 1 and 2. Kate and Jamie were mad annoying but Jamies story about nearly seeing her baby drown was sad and brought back a horrible memory for me when i tried to save a drowning disabled child when i was a kid. Montell Jordan is tall af like taller than Dwight Howard and Michael Jordan lol. Danny Amendola is absolute bae! Never been more turned on watching him standup to the drill seargeant 🤣 *kids dont try this shit irl*

yep and I'm loving it. This explains why Dwight Howard was trying to get back in the NBA this year. After doing this show, he must have been feeling himself. Now he's dominating in some Chinese league.

Yea you are amazing. Because i feel myself choking just watching people hold their breath underwater. I remember when they tried to recruit some of us for the Marines in high school. I was never interested so I don't know why they were pushy with me, but my friend joined and did the “sit at the bottom of the pool” thing and yea, no 🥺

:) Well, the special forces stuff is WAY beyond me. I did boot camp but long haul Military service is difficult enough but what spec ops does is an order of magnitude more demanding. They have my admiration.

I am quite sure I will find it difficult to watch because of what we ask from service forces personnel and the consequences to them. While it will be fun to watch celebs trying to cope, I'd be thinking of this song set in the Vietnam era.

Fortunately not. I just hate how combat vets get treated. SAS is our special forces - Special Air Services.. So the Australian version was SAS Australia. As it was it was coming out in 2019/20 our media was laying into SAS veteran who one a Victoria Cross in Afghanistan.

You have to do something special to win a VC. like charging a machine gun nest with a bayonet. That particular SAS vet took on three machine gun nests that had his troop pinned down. The media crucified him as one of the machine guns was operated by a 15 yo. The media was so viscous it went to a defamation trial - 110 days long and finished last June. The judgement is still to come out but I hope he wins.

i couldn't stomach the hypocrisy of the media making money from a SAS reality show whilst at the same time tearing down an extraordinary brave SAS vet. I hope the judgement goes in his favor

Yeah. it was a pretty major hazard to his health and well being. Cancel culture got onto it thoroughly and were saying things like it was unfair to have highly trained SAS forces. Stupid stuff.

A lot of vets don't come out well from their experience. Typically a vet that survives lives 10 years less than non-coms and that is kinda the point of that song.

The disgusting hypocrisy of the media running a pile-on on a SAS VC vet and making money out of the SAS brand at the same time triggers me. Sorry for going off.

I would say any reality show about the special forces is based on the Marines. The Marines are commandos, but the training of special forces is a much tougher training. So what you are watching is not even Navy SEALs as Navy SEALs are part of the special operation forces. Slightly below SAS, but still above the Marines.

Just to finish off, people actually die in special forces training, by the way. So the show on TV is just using the word "Special Forces" as a brand, but it has about no reflection on the real thing. Besides, no government wants to flaunt its tactics for the enemy to see. So you will never see that kind of stuff on TV.

No, what they are showing on TV is standard stuff that the Marines do. Nothing you are seeing is secretive. What the special forces do is classified and more so depending on the level. What the Marines do is not a secret. But there are stages before getting to dangerous stunts.

Also, all people who join the special forces have to have served in the military before joining. You can not just walk in and decide to be part of the special forces. They only take either active or ex Army, Air Force or Navy, and the Marines.
If you don't fall into that category, you will not be allowed to join.

But yes, being a commando is tough in itself, hence why what you are seeing is still dangerous. But it is not special forces stuff.
