Do you think its odd for parents to name their kids after video game characters?

I guess it depends. Weird names or even popular names (Mario) would suck for the kid. So, maybe it isn't odd, per se, but it just sucks. Like, Zelda is okay. Kinda on the border. But, naming my kid Pikachu is just mean, not odd.

As someone who was named after a character, I was NOT pleased with my name! I told people who met me my middle name, cuz I hated my first name.
