So, have you read any good books lately?

I read Refugee by Alan Gratz

And in between this book I read a bunch of romance novels on Kindle.
Once I'm done with my current book
A queen of Ruin

the 4th and final book in a series I'm am going to then start another series
A court of Thorn's and Roses
yea i read "a lush and seething hell" which was had 2 stories in it, the first was forgettable but the second was about some archivists from the library of congress tracking down folk songs and their origin and they discover this demonic song with hidden verses that reveal themselves the closer you get to the original.
at first it seems like a song about a murderer who is hung to death but as they get closer to the source extra verses reveal themselves about the man going down to hell and challenging the devil for the throne of hell and then discovering that there are deeper places than hell he doesn't rule. and anyone who sings the closer versions of the song to the original are driven mad.
The entire book series by Terry Goodkind. It depicts a man, his wife, and extended family fighting against the kind of world that the leftists want.. Which is a communist/socialist world where no one owns anything, and its illegal to speak about it, All set in a medieval time with magic. Its basically an obejectivist catalyst. Where the value a man generates, his work, is is recognized as pure, and where "slavery to your fellow man" also known as compulsory charity is frowned upon.
Does sound like a woke utopia.
Its worse. Its accurate right down to how the left falls all over them selves to forgive crime. Not even slightly kidding. Criminals are praised and good hard working people are demonized. Half of the world in those books are like that. The main characer's half is not, Its very much capitalist/objectivist. The other half is definitely socialist/communist. The bad half creates a huge army called the imperial order, which seeks to forcibly convert the rest of the world to their belief system, and the main character is standing against it.
its really good, but the books are more than 1k pages each. and there are over 20 of them.
Ugh... The author must have been claravoyant.
I think he was, he literally predicted all of this, and a coming war.

I am embarrassed to say that I have not. It was something I was going to do but I have been too busy. I can barely get through a week at work.
I just finished The Controversy of Zion by Douglas Reed.
I just picked up Stephen King's "Everything's eventual". So far, I've read Riding the bullet, the man in the black suit, autopsy room 4, and 1408. The stories are so interesting.
I ead Daisy Jones and the Six which is a great read if you are into music. There is also a 10 part TV show on Prime.
Tiger, Tiger, disturbing but fascinating, and very sad,,,
Haven't read since I was like 20 lol
