Do you agree that some modern singers overdo the emotion?

Of course soul and emotion are key to a good song, but these kids are taking it too far and it's cringe.
I don't have an example handy, but I've seen more than a few newer and upcoming artists basically breaking down or throwing a fit at the mic.

Eric Clapton's "River of Tears" is the perfect example of using the right amount of emotion. You don't have to scream and cry to make people feel something

I mean it's better than some of the stuff out there, but there has to be a happy medium
