I heard a bit of ragnarok and gorgoroth in the past. Are they black metal? I got them recommended from a friend. Not bad but not my favorite. Why would I be a pagan?

Yepp gorgoroth is one of the best pure black metal bands I've ever listened to😊 also ragnarok. That should be a really cool metalhead friend

Not for a spesific reason actually😅 but most of the symphonic metal sounds are related with the pagan culture, thats why i wanted to ask

isn't that more a thing of 'Pagan metal' viking metal and folk metal? I mean I hear some folk metal as well but never thought that would be a thing from symphonic.
