Have ever seen a film called The Man from Earth?

It is a thought provoking film about a guy named John who has unexplainably lived for over 10000 years.

He decides to move on every 10 years but before moving on he told his friends his story.

Yes I saw this movie when I was a kid. Very nice but doesn't make much sense. Too much of a coincidence that the guy was his son in the end. An ancient man would look significantly different from the modern day European, he would certainly stand out.

I have, I think. I remember the premise at least, and the picture looks familiar. It was cool. Was it not from an Asimov or Clark story?

No it was written by Jeremy Bixby.

It was brilliant, and quite equal to their works. I just read the summary on Wikipedia (massive spoilers!), and I remember it. Yes, I definitely saw it.
