Trending & News Some '93 classics. 😋

Let's see... I was born in 1963... I will go with "The Great Escape".
It's a classic WW2 movie based on a true story.
This is the kind of movie that you can see every year around Memorial Day or Veteran's Day.
Also, "It's A Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World", the classic ensemble chase comedy. If you want to see something of a "Who's Who" in mid-century comedic acting, this is a must-see film.
It's currently free on YouTube although you MAY (I am not sure) need a YouTube Premium subscription (which I have - it's worth it).
"The Pink Panther", the original comedy that introduced Inspector Clouseau and spawned the cartoon series.
Not exactly my favorite, but the most famous movie of that year was "Cleopatra".
and, of course, Alfred Hitchcock's disturbing "The Birds".
Jeez, I’m realizing what a tough year 1979 was for movies, haha. I know Apocalypse Now is supposed to be really good, but I haven’t seen it. I need to see The Jerk again as an adult to see if I appreciate it. The only one that really jumps out to me is Meatballs. Talk about a movie that couldn’t be made today, YIKES😂 But it was one of those movies where I could see naked chicks as a young’un, because nobody was really looking out for kids in the 80s😝
Shout out to your year of ‘93, Menace II Society is one of my all-time favorite movies👍👍
You forgot the biggest movie to come out in 93 lol
@Still-alive That's a great movie, but sadly, I don't consider it a fave. 😂
Why? Too much Jeff Goldblum? Lol :p
1988 - Rambo 3, Willow, Scrooged, Beetlejuice 😅, Cocktail, The Naked Gun 😂, my fav - Die Hard, Tom Hanks in "Big" 👍, Roger Rabbit, and Rainman - all these I watched more than once.
Some awesome movies on that list.
A knights tale, Donnie darko, LOTR: the fellowship of the ring, Evolution and Shrek.

I'd have to say The Ten Commandments, since that's the only one I know for sure that I've seen. I think I've seen The King and I, but I'm not sure. I don't remember either one of them, although I remember that The Ten Commandments used to show every year on TV, either around Christmas or Easter.
I never heard of half the movies from my year.

And lastly...
Dirty Harry
The French Connection \and this cult classic by an unknown director named Spielberg.
1983:
Star wars: return of the Jedi. In fact i was in my moms belly while the family stood in line to see this movie hehe.
Scarface: “say hello to my little friend”
Christmas story: “you’ll shoot your eye out kid”
National Lampoons vacation
Wargames: “the only winning move is not to play.”
Risky Business: the movie that basically jump started Tom Cruises career until Top Gun.
All classics in their own right, but ugh, Star Wars has just been done to death over the last 45+ years that I just can't STAND them anymore. lol To each their own of course, but I didn't have the patience to even mention Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back for my post. 😂

The Shining, The Blues Brothers, Raging Bull and The Gods Must Be Crazy. There are several other popular movies from 1980 that have stood the test of time, but meh, I'm not really into most of them.
Also: "You're killin' me, Smalls!" 😂 The best line from The Sandlot by far. I use it all the time and anyone who knows the reference always laughs. lol
Sandlot is one my fav movies lol and all the gangster Italian films. Bella we have so much common.
You’re killing me Smalls!
