What did you think of Maestro?

I'm in the orchestra world and we've all been following this movie since it was called Bernstein. It didn't come close to capturing our experience.

My grandfather played in the orchestra for this recording.

I liked the movie because I like & admire Bradley Cooper but I think it couldn't possibly capture the full depth of Bernstein's musical brilliance !

The video you posted @rachel776 is extra-special - I loved seeing/hearing a young & beautiful Kiri Te Kanawa, from New Zealand, my homeland - her voice sublime and - in my opinion anyway - doing justice to the wonderful music of Leonard Bernstein, conducted by the maestro himself 🎼

i'm not allowed to watch because it's rated "R". 😂 but I would watch it when it comes on tv edited. I actually like when you post your behind-the-scenes things, because i trust you to be more real about the experience, than I would trust anyone in hollyweird making movies about it.
