Remakes are, for the most part, never as good as the original. Swayze was one of a kind, like trying to replace the original Bond character with someone other than Connery, although some of the Bond replacements were very good i. e. Pierce Brosnan and Timothy Dalton.

Patrick Swayze, Kelly Lynch, Sam Elliot. Fun film. I love it. If I want to see Roadhouse then I'll just watch it again.

F Hollywood and their ZERO ORIGINALITY and CREATIVITY and just rebooting every film that has ever been made.

Think up something original. Quit just rebooting everyone else's ideas. Come up with your own ideas.

I voted yes. Not because I'm excited to see another classic 80s film remade, but because I'm going to show the original to our boys and let them compare and see how sad things have gotten in Hollywood since I was a little kid.
my wife and I love the original movie, so it should be pretty funny watching a modern day era interpretation.

Jake Gyllenhaal is one of those actors whose name I hear everywhere yet I don’t think I’ve ever seen any of their movies or could pick them out of a lineup. So this doesn’t really resonate with me. Swayze 4-eva

I just saw this last night. I know people that think the Patrick Swayze one is the best movie ever. I wonder what the lawsuits would be like if a bar really did do that to it's customers.

I like Jake Gyllenhaal as an actor, especially in movies like Jarhead, The Covenant, Ambulance, Bubble Boy n End of Watch. But Roadhouse is a classic. A lot of times remakes aren’t as good. Although Patrick Swayze was the main character, I liked Sam Elliot’s character more. I guess cause he was an old, rough, tough took no shit ass kicker. Sure Swayze was the same but he was younger, don’t see a lot of men these days like Elliot’s character. I’ll probably watch it though.
