Norm was hired on in 1993 and was fired in 1998 for making too many OJ simpson jokes which the head nbc producer of the time was good friends with. He mainly did the weekend update segments of the show but also occasionally did some sketches.
He was my favorite (RIP) besides Bill Murray.
