A Swiss Art collector has purchased the tattooed skin of an artist. He'll get pictures of the skin until the artist dies, at which time he will receive the actual skin.

That's really morbid to me. Actually I'd be deeply worried about the mental state of someone who kept bits of human flesh as a collector's item. I'd sell it for sure though if someone wants to buy it! I only have a faded forearm tattoo but I'll sell that if some weirdo wants to buy it.

I heard someone say when I was young that in some parts of Asia there was a time long ago when poor families tatooed their skin so when they died the skin was made into lanterns and sold for the benefit of the family. I don't know if this is true at all though.
