Okay so I’ve been learning to draw to get my ideas down and I also got really inspired since I’ve started on my create me book by Mariah Elizabeth. I don’t usually get into art, since I’m not so good but I’ve always loved books with drawing prompts just never really had the skills to do it. I have been actively learning though and this is what I’ve been able to do so far now that I’ve learned shading, how to draw from shapes and getting perspective down. I’ve been learning from MarkowskyArt. Give me some feedback and tips. Or if you would simply just like to give me some comments on what you think in general. Feel free to, I would appreciate any feedback ❤️
One thing I might suggest trying which helped me enormously is to try drawing a bit with pen and ink, like this:

I found it helping me enormously in rendering and shading because we don't actually have much of a value range with ink. We have to create value transitions with textures and hatching but it actually simplifies things a lot. Also not being able to erase might be a bit daunting but it tends to help you work with every mark you made and be more decisive about each stroke.
When we deal with mediums like graphite, charcoal, and pastel, it can be a bit overwhelming getting lost in the most subtle differences in tone/value (not to mention how we can smudge), and working in ink for a while helps you to understand how to simplify it all.

Cheers and thanks! It's something I found personally helping me a lot is that we can get a bit overwhelmed by value/tone, colors, edges, textures, etc. Practicing with just straight black on white can often help as a simplification.
Pen and ink also often teaches how to communicate and hint at ideas in a very economical way, like this with the tree:
If you look up close, it's basically just a bunch of economic scribble. The artist didn't try to actually draw leaves. Yet it conveys the idea very effectively in a simplified form:
Once we can effectively simplify this way, it tends to be easier to add more complexity and deal with more complex media.
It's good for a beginner (note that I don't draw myself, I'm just seeing your drawings and comparing them to other drawings that I have seen) but you can certainly do better if you practice 😊.

Keep up the good work! Remember, no art is bad art, and all progress is good progress. I’d also recommend holding onto some of your first art pieces. It’s fun to look back on where you started, in the future. I’ve been doing art for years now, and I do a lot of painting, and I find it great to look back on the drawings that I did when I was 11-12. Lots of stick figures lol.
Thank you! I used to draw as a child too but never kept my art because I just never took it serious but now I wish I did. I would love to be able to see that progresión. I just started as an adult and more serious, hopefully I improve more! I really want my drawings to look more like real even though all art is real but mine feels almost childish which I’m not liking

I’m sure you can !! Just watch a few little YouTube videos, The channel I mentioned is pretty good! He gives some fun prompts that kinda give you a flow
