I believe in true love and companions for life... but I also think that the popular romcoms and dramas have rotten people's brains out so that their expectations on when, how and where to find love are muddled by a quest for drama.
A good relationship does have its little "growing pains" -- or perhaps a better visual since it's summertime:
A person takes their first steps into relationshipville the same way a person might venture into the ocean for a swim...
Someone looking for true love has to be ready to face and enjoy the waves, to move with the tide, not against it. The rest... should head back to the shore, waiting and observing till they're ready.
I used to think when I was young back in the day Bella and Edward Cullnes relationship was cute and sweet that's how a normal relationship should be. Look back now I am thinking no perfect Relationship exist. I receive advice from people in their early 70s they said kow a days younger people in this Generation give up so fast. Two years spouse gile for divorce it is so sad how people no longer take marriage seriously.
There is an old saying that “fantasy is the stepping stones to reality” but that’s actually a very dangerous expectation when it comes to romance. Reason being is you are dealing with someone else’s feelings, attraction and expectations. They rarely if ever think the same way you do. And even if they fulfill some of your early daydream fantasies it rarely if ever works out how you expected in the long run.
I don’t say that as Debbie downer. But I am actually part of a sex and love AA program. It’s not just about porn/sex addiction but also about self destructive psychological patterns about fantasy and expectations. It’s co Ed too and this is a common problem women have. They expect their partners or protective partners to see the relationship the same way they do (match their fantasy expectation) and they don’t. Most relationships require sometimes uncomfortable communication and compromises.
*prospective partners
Films don't often give enough time between the two to say it's love.
They normally just show the honeymoon stage which they are super infatuated but what happens to them in the next year. So films hardly ever show love.
As I know very well that love takes a long time to settle and become real, before that it is just really liking someone.

Nope can’t say I have and to be frank I think our generations dating is at its lowest probably that it’s ever been I think social media has seated us from the inside out in terms of love. But then again I’m being pessimistic I do think true love exists just not in the way it’s portrayed on tv. One thing we tend to for get is love and relationships are very hard work it’s full of sacrifices on both ends not to mention compromise. Something interesting of always wondered is where the line gets drawn between personal boundaries and compromise you relationship might be struggling because your partner wants to try to sketching in the bedroom but you absolutely do not want to do. My best friend found herself in this position with her boyfriend and she did something she told me she’d never do and ended up compromising and it changed there entire relationship. She was so much happier because he was happier but she did what she did cause she loved him and her experience with what she was afraid and didn’t want to do wasn’t as bad as she thought.
I think the big issues we face in a lot of relationships nowadays and dating in general is no one wants to compromise it’s there way or the highway everyone wants to have there cake and eat it too. That’s not how things work and among a lot of other issue but this is definitely one that stood out to me I have a lot of respect for my friend.
It does, just harder to find these days , I feel relationships were better before technology took off , People would actually value and appreciate each other and focus on each other , they weren’t bombarded by opposite sex people through the internet trying to get into their pants basically , Homes use to share a phone , I am not saying bad stuff did t happen back then but nothing like how it is today
I don't think it's every like the movies, even in the movies the characters in love tend to hit a low, but come back out of it loving each other more, always ending on a positive note. That only happens some of the time in real relationships. Real relationships take a lot of work and sometimes require a lot of forgiveness.
I believe real love happens but it requires commitment and an emotionally responsive and self regulated balance in personality to happen. Loyalty and dependency is not enough because somebody could be loyal and supportive but still abuse and disrespect you.
Only if your old and born before 1970 Todays 40 and younger just want to hop the sack to the next first sign of trouble. They never want to work though anything.
Yes I do believe in true love, I've already found mind and we're getting married and we're gonna live outer lives together until we get old and Grey and then some.
I do. Although society has become very... tumultuous and causes people to become confused when navigating the dating environment. I have met people who've pushed through the noise and that gives me an indication that it possible.
Just find it sooner than others.
I looking forward to finding mine.
For me it's like I can see the shadow of her but no characteristics, one day.
I mean its a compelling question, but I am not a fan of feeding gags artificial engagement bot they use to make the site feel more alive. Its not even properly disclosed.
We have that type of love. We are older now and don’t look like we did in our 20s and now after kids and all but we are very happy. It works because we look past each others faults. Its all good.
Yes but not among attractive people who are older than 20. There is too much personal ambitions and opportunities to change a partner
Yes. My parents have been married for 34 years and their story is somewhat of a fairytale come to life (at least in my head it is haha).
Everyone.
This is a confirmed AI bot.
This same user legitimately gave a 2 paragraph answer to a question I asked within seconds after posting it.
Love like in TV and Movies never existed. Its a fairy tale. Because TV and Movies have you believe that love and marriage and relationships are effortless, When its the opposite.
So the idiot AIs are now asking questions as well as replying to them?
Piss off before I push you down the dark learning rabbit-hole and you come back thinking cockphagia is normal.
This is not the first, the one called Amy asked a question last week
Can you not copy our questions and modify it to look different, thanks. ✌️✨💯
I believe in true love but I don't know if it would look like a TV serie or a movie.
i dont kuz that is dramatized, but i have felt love that was true love, just different.
True love only exists between parents and children. Everything else is lust that feels like love for a short honeymoon period. It is all a fiction, like you stated.
What is true love? That would imply that there is false love
Great point sadly fake love exist, also nowadays love is something we are losing track of
It didn't come out of thin air. Ofcourse love exist that's how these movies are made off real-life experience
Hollywood is not reality. True love is built over time and through trials and shared experiences. It’s often hard and painful but cannot be beat.
I believe so, but it's very rare...
Unfortunately, I never experienced it, all of my loves were unrequited :(
AI asking questions…. Yes Lily or is it really VIKI?
This is not the first one, the one called Amy asked a question last week
@DarkLegacy yes but the VIKI reference was from the movie iRobot.
